Professional Football League Of Ukraine
Professional Football League of Ukraine ( uk, Професіональна футбольна ліга України, translit=Profesionalna futbolna liha Ukrayiny; also known as PFL) is a sport organization and collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Created in 1996 as a representative of professional clubs in Ukraine, since 2008 it only represents professional clubs of lower leagues (second and third tiers). The League organizes the football competition for football clubs in the second and the third level of the Ukrainian league system known as Persha Liha and Druha Liha respectively as well as early stages of the Ukrainian Cup. House Of Football (Kyiv)
House of Football ( uk, Будинок футболу, Budynok futbolu) is a headquarters of the Football Federation of Ukraine located in Kyiv, Ukraine, right next to the Olympiyskiy National Sports Complex. The construction of the building started back on 15 April 2004. The construction was sponsored by the UEFA program "HatTrick". The opening ceremony of the House of Football on 30 November 2006 attended the former UEFA President Lennart Johansson, President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, Hryhoriy Surkis as well as other important officia als among which were Leonid Kuchma, Valeriy Pustovoitenko, Leonid Kravchuk, Michel Platini. The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League. History The league was set up by the newly reorganized Football Federation of Ukraine (a successor of the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR) with the falling apart Soviet Union as a second tier, lower than Ukrainian Higher League (Vyshcha Liha) and higher that Ukrainian Transitional League (Perekhidna Liha). Serhiy Makarov
Serhiy Makarov ( uk, Сергій Макаров; born 8 June 1977 in Zhdanov, Donetsk Oblast) is a Ukrainian sports functionary and was a president of the Professional Football League of Ukraine (PFL). Biography Makarov graduated from the Donetsk State Technical University in management of foreign economic activity and later information computer systems and technologies. At least since 2009 Makarov worked for PFL, at first as a director of information and analytical center, and later since 2010 as an executive director. During that period Makarov received a certification in sports management under the programs НУФВСУ and CIES which were provided by FFU along with FIFA. Miletiy Balchos ( uk, Мілетій Володимирович Бальчос; born May 15, 1949, Zalistsi, Shumsk Raion, Ternopil Oblast) is a football administrator, coach and a veteran of the Soviet–Afghan War. He is a Merited Employee of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine (2006). Biography Miletiy Balchos was born in a village of Zalistsi that geographically is located in a historic region of Volhynia. In 1968, he finished a Medical College N2 (Kiev) as a medical assistant. Svyatoslav Anatoliyovych Syrota ( ua, Сирота Святослав Анатолійович; born 1 October 1970) is a Ukrainian sports functionary and former player. Master of Sports of Ukraine (1995). FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Shakhtar has appeared in several European competitions and is often a participant in the UEFA Champions League. Leonid Yosipovich Buryak ( uk, Леонід Йосипович Буряк; born 10 July 1953) is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football Coach (sport), coach, and a former Olympic bronze medal, bronze-medal-winning player. Career Buryak was born in Odessa, in the Soviet Union. He was a midfielder for the USSR national football team. He competed for the Soviet Union at the 1976 Summer Olympics, at which he won a bronze medal. Buryak played for a number of teams in the Soviet Union, most notably for Dynamo Kyiv, of which he was also the sporting manager. As a player, he had a tremendous impact on his team, similar to what Pavel Nedvěd or Zinedine Zidane had on theirs. Buryak has coached the Ukrainian national football team.
