Abra Prentice Wilkin (born July 30, 1942) is an American philanthropist. She is the daughter of John Rockefeller Prentice (1902–1972) and his wife, Abbie Cantrill Prentice. Wilkin is a great-granddaughter of Standard Oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller (1839–1937). Prentice Wilkin attended both The Latin School of Chicago and The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Connecticut. She has been married twice. Her first marriage was to journalist Jon Anderson, and she has three children from that marriage: two daughters, Ashley Anderson Norton and Abra Anderson, and a son, Anthony Anderson. Jo Ann Prentice (February 9, 1933 – May 18, 2025) was an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Prentice was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She turned professional in 1956. Prentice joined the LPGA tour in 1957 and won six times between 1965 and 1974. Prentice was elected to the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1991, and is one of only eight golfers in it. Peter Eric James Prentice (July 20, 1956 – October 13, 2016) was a Canadian politician who served as the 16th premier of Alberta from 2014 to 2015. In the 2004 federal election he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a candidate of the Conservative Party of Canada. He was re-elected in the 2006 federal election and appointed to the cabinet as Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians. Prentice was appointed Minister of Industry on August 14, 2007, and after the 2008 election became Minister of Environment on October 30, 2008. Gordon Prentice (born 28 January 1951) is a British-Canadian former politician of the Labour Party who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pendle in Lancashire from 1992 to 2010. Frank Winnold Prentice MC (17 February 1889 – 19 May 1982) was a British merchant seaman and the assistant storekeeper on the ocean liner RMS ''Titanic'' during her maiden voyage. He survived the sinking and at the time of his death was the second-to-last surviving crewmember of the disaster. RMS ''Titanic'' Prentice signed on to ''Titanic''s crew on 4 April 1912 as an assistant storekeeper, having transferred from another White Star liner, ''Celtic''. Eric Dayton Prentice (August 22, 1926 — December 8, 2002) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played a total of 5 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 1943–44 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1943 to 1950, was spent in different minor leagues. Prentice holds the record for the youngest player signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs - he was 17. Dean Sutherland Prentice (October 5, 1932 – November 2, 2019) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 22 seasons between 1952–53 and 1973–74.
