''Plus One'' (russian: Плюс один, Plyus odin) is a Russian romantic comedy film directed by Oksana Bychkova, released in 2008. Plot Masha (Madeleine Dzhabrailova), an English-Russian translator, accompanies puppeteer Tom (Jethro Skinner) from the UK to Moscow, where he has been hired to conduct master classes with young actors of the puppet theater. Masha and Tom seem to have very little in common. Masha is very serious about life and what people think about it, whereas Tom perceives the world as a theater play. However, both have lonely lives; Masha loves her dictionaries, and Tom's sole companion is a doll-glove, which he carries with him always. Their mutual isolation from the world draws them together and they fall in love. When it is time to leave, Masha is able to let go of Tom easily, for she now feels ready to start a new life. ''Plus One'' is a 2019 American romantic comedy film, written, directed, and produced by Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer. Starring Maya Erskine, Jack Quaid, Beck Bennett, Rosalind Chao, Perrey Reeves, and Ed Begley Jr., the film follows two longtime single friends who agree to be each other's plus one at every wedding they're invited to. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 28, 2019, where it won the Narrative Audience Award, and was released on June 14, 2019 by RLJE Films. It received generally positive reviews from critics. Plot Ben King and Alice Mori, close friends since college and now in their late twenties, attend a wedding where Alice, having recently broke up with her boyfriend Nate due to his infidelity, overindulges in alcohol and Ben helps take care of her. Plus One (band)
Plus One was an American Christian pop boy band which formed in 1999, disbanded in 2004, and briefly reunited in 2014. The group's line-up consisted of Nate Cole, Jason Perry, Jeremy Mhire, Nathan Walters and Gabe Combs. The group enjoyed their greatest success with the release of their debut album, '' The Promise'' (2000). The group then released ''Obvious'' (2002). Jason Perry and Jeremy Mhire left the band in 2003, and the remaining three members signed a deal with Inpop Records. A year later they released ''Exodus''; their first album as a trio. After the album's supporting tour, they disbanded in 2004 to pursue other interests. Walters, Combs, and Perry briefly reunited in 2014, releasing "My All".
