Peter Brown (rugby League)
Peter Michael Gordon Brown (born 1 September 1961) is a New Zealand rugby league footballer agent and a former footballer who represented New Zealand. His position of preference was at prop. Playing career Brown was a Te Atatu Roosters player in the Auckland Rugby League competition and also represented Auckland. Brown also spent four off-seasons in England, playing for Hunslet, Salford, Halifax and Leigh. He was first selected for the New Zealand national rugby league team in 1986 and went on to play in sixteen tests, with his final appearance being in 1991. He was part of the Kiwis squad that lost the final of the 1985-1988 World Cup to Australia. County Cup Final appearances Peter Brown played right-, i.e. number 10, and scored two conversions in Salford's 17-22 defeat by Wigan in the 1988 Lancashire County Cup Final during the 1988–89 season at Knowsley Road, St. Helens on Sunday 23 October 1988. Peter Brown (New Zealand Artist)
Charles Fredrick Peter Brown (12 April 1921 – 14 October 2005) was a New Zealand born artist of the school of traditional realism. Brown served in the RAF throughout World War II and the drawing and sketching he did while a German prisoner of war from 1943 helped him decide to pursue art seriously as a career. After escaping from the prison camp, and on returning to New Zealand, the Rehabilitation Department (an organisation set up to assist returned servicemen back into the workforce) assisted Brown to study commercial art and he began his training at the Elam Art School of the University of Auckland in 1946.Thwaites, Ian & Fletcher, Rie ''We Learnt to See: Elam's Rutland Group 1935-1958'', Puriri Press, 2004. Peter Brown is an American writer and illustrator who is best known for children's picture books. He won a Caldecott Honor in 2013 for his illustration of ''Creepy Carrots!.'' Biography Brown was raised in Hopewell, New Jersey and studied illustration at Art Center College of Design. After graduating from, he moved to New York City in 2002 to be closer to the publishing industry. He was working on animated TV shows when he signed a book deal to write and illustrate his first picture book, ''Flight of the Dodo''. Peter quickly signed up his second and third books, and his career as an author and illustrator of children’s books was under way. Since then Peter has written and illustrated many books for children and earned numerous honors, including a Caldecott Honor, a Horn Book Award, two E.B. White Awards, two E.B. Peter Brown (British Artist)
Peter Edward Mackenzie Brown (born 28 July 1967) is a British Impressionist painter popularly known as "Pete the Street" from his practice of working on location in all weathers. He is best known for his depictions of street scenes and landscapes. He loves working 'in the thick of it' painting the streets of Varanasi to Toronto and closer to home in Barcelona, Paris, London and his adopted home city of Bath. He insists on working directly from the subject refusing to use photographic reference. Life and career Brown was born in Reading and educated at Presentation College, Reading. He graduated in fine art from Manchester Polytechnic in 1990. He moved to Bath in 1993, where he lives with his wife Lisa and five children, and took up painting full-time in 1995.
