Penn Lake Park is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 359 at the 2020 census. History The community was founded in 1938, after ice salesman Albert Lewis used the lake to chip out his product. In 1946, Harry and Mary Goeringer bought the lake — and the 800 acres around it — from Lewis. They built a house by the lake; they later divided the rest of the land into parcels. It became a borough in 1976, when Penn Lake Park applied for a state grant because the lake's dam needed a major repair. Geography Penn Lake Park is located at . Penn High School is a public high school located in Mishawaka, Indiana, United States, near South Bend. It is the only high school in the Penn-Harris-Madison (PHM) School Corporation. The district includes all of Osceola and portions of Granger, Mishawaka, and South Bend. Harrisburg City Islanders, known as Penn FC in their final season, were an American professional soccer team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded in 2003, the team most recently played in the USL Pro, the second tier of the United States soccer league system. In October 2018, the club formally announced it will not participate in the 2019 season and would have resume play in 2020 as a member of USL League One, a league in the third tier. On November 15, 2017 the team was rebranded as Penn FC. The rebrand served in conjunction with a partnership with Rush Soccer youth development program.
