Pencak silat competition at the 2018 Asian Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 23 to 29 August 2018 at Pencak Silat Arena (''Padepokan'') inside the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in East Jakarta. Nurzuhairah Mohammad Yazid (born 21 April 1998) is a Singaporean pencak silat practitioner. She represented Singapore at the 2018 Asian Games and won a silver medal in Pencak silat at the 2018 Asian Games – Women's tunggal, women's singles event held at Padepokan Pencak Silat Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta. She claimed her first world title in the Female Artistic Singles Category that took place from 13 to 16 December 2018 at OCBC Arena Hall 1, Singapore Sports Hub. Hanifan Yudani Kusumah
Hanifan Yudani Kusumah (born 25 October 1997) is an Indonesian pencak silat practitioner. He won a gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games, after previously winning a bronze medal in the 2017 SEA Games. Biography Hanifan was born in Bandung, West Java on 25 October 1997. His father Dani Wisnu, who was also a silat practitioner and was part of the national-level selection in 2005, had begun training him in pencak silat when he was in second grade of elementary school. Hanifan's mother Dewi Yanti Kosasih was also a silat practitioner who had participated in international competitions. Later on, Hanifan joined a silat academy, named "Perguruan Silat Tadjimalela". He first participated in competitions in 2010, when he won a silver medal in a local competition between Tadjimalela students.
