The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Football Championship Game or PSAC Football Championship is a yearly American football championship game between two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams (East and West division champions) to decide the champions of the PSAC. The championship games date back to 1960 where West Chester was the first to win, however champions had been selected by sportswriters and the Saylor Point System since 1934. Champions have been decided every year since then, except for three years during World War II, and in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when PSAC did not compete. Sprint Football
Sprint football, formerly called lightweight football, is a varsity sport played by United States colleges and universities, under standard American football rules. As of the 2022 season, the sport is governed by the Collegiate Sprint Football League and the Midwest Sprint Football League. In sprint football, players must maintain a weight of 178 lb or 81 kg or less and a minimum of 5% body fat to be eligible to play. The end result of these weight restrictions is that, unlike conventional collegiate football which places a premium on body weight and strength, sprint football emphasizes speed and agility. The Lock Haven Bald Eagles football program is the intercollegiate American football team for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
