P-Square Songs
P-Square is a Nigerian music duo consisting of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye. They produced and released their albums through Square Records (now Square Root Entertainment) In December 2011, they signed a record deal with Akon's Konvict Muzik label. In May 2012, P-Square signed a record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa. On 25 September 2017, numerous media outlets reported that the group disbanded. Reports about a breakup surfaced after Peter reportedly sent a termination letter to the group's lawyer. Prior to this report, the duo disbanded in 2016, supposedly over a disagreement about the role of their manager. On 17 November 2021, the duo ended their long time feud and reconciled. Peter Okoye
Peter Okoye (born 18 November 1981), who is better known as Mr P, is a Nigerian singer. He rose to fame in the 2000s as a member of the P-Square duo with his identical twin brother Rudeboy and in 2021 was awarded with an honorary Doctorate degree from ESCAE University in Benin Republic. Early life and education Mr. P and his twin brother Rudeboy grew up in a large family, in Jos in Plauteau State, Nigeria. He was born into the family of Josephine Okoye and Mazi Moses Okoye. Bracket are a Nigerian afropop and R&B music duo composed of Obumneme Ali a.k.a. "Smash" and Nwachukwu Ozioko a.k.a. "Vast". Bracket started as a three-man music group before a member called Bistop dropped out. The duo are currently signed to Ape Planet and are best known for releasing hit singles like "Happy Day", "Yori-Yori" and "Ada Owerri" which received several positive reviews and airplay. ''Game Over'' is the third studio album by Nigerian duo P-Square. The first single from the album was "Do Me". A video for the single was also released along with videos for "No One Like You", "Roll It", "More Than A Friend" and "Ifunanya". However, the most successful single was "No One Like You" which stayed at number 1 on the charts for almost 4 weeks until it was knocked down to number 2 by Mo Hits All Stars' "Pere". On 1 May 2007, the album was released on iTunes. Singles * "No One Like You" was released as one of the album's singles. According to Forbes' ''40 Most Powerful Celebrities in Africa'' article, the song has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube. MTV Base was a British pay television music channel from Paramount Networks UK & Australia that focused primarily on hip hop, R&B, grime, garage, reggae, funk, soul and dance music. Kora Awards
The KORA All Africa Music Awards are music awards given annually for musical achievement in sub-Saharan Africa. The awards were founded in 1994 by Benin born businessman, Ernest Adjovi, after a discussion in Namibia with the country's President Hage Geingob. The award is named after the kora, a West African plucked chordophone. The awards have been subject to several postponements since 1994 with a variety of reasons given. Problems have arisen with contracts signed, large sums of monies have been paid and the event postponed. In 2011 Adjovi was detained by the Nigerian Police Force with allegations he defrauded three Nigerian bodies. In 2008 Adjovi allegedly accepted S2.5 million for the 2008 Awards to be hosted by the Cross River State Government.
