Nitrome Games
Nitrome Games Limited is a British independent video game developer based in London. The company formerly developed Flash and Unity games for Web browsers, but now publishes and develops games across multiple platforms including mobile, Nintendo Switch, and PS4, with a few releases on Steam. Their games are recognizable by the pixel art design and cartoon-like appearance, along with a jingle to the start of every game and the use of chiptune. Nitrome was started on 10 August 2004 by Matthew Annal and Heather Stancliffe, two graphic designers, intending to create games for mobile phones. Instead, the company began taking on commissions for Internet-based flash games. Boss (gaming)
In video games, a boss is a significantly powerful non-player character and computer-controlled enemy created as an opponent to players. A fight with a boss character is referred to as a boss battle or boss fight. Bosses are generally far stronger than other opponents the players have faced up to that point in a game. Leap Day (video Game)
''Leap Day'' is a 2D level-based platform game developed and published by Nitrome, first released for iOS and Android on May 11, 2016. Players must reach a Gold Cup at top of a procedurally generated level by controlling a character which runs automatically, tapping on the screen to make the character jump in order to collect fruits, dodge enemies and hazards, and progress through the level.
