Neogene Reevei
''Neogene reevei'' is a moth of the family Sphingidae Species description, first described by Herbert Druce in 1882. It is known from Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. It is similar to ''Neogene dynaeus''. The hindwing upperside disc is more shaded with brown in the female than in the male, where the colour is mainly restricted to the veins. The width of the black border is individually variable. Adults have been recorded in March in Santiago del Estero, January in Cordoba and February in Tucuman. There is an oblique, more or less interrupted, grey apical band on the forewing upperside that usually joins the grey, transverse discal band. Lionel Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild, Baron de Rothschild, (8 February 1868 – 27 August 1937) was a British banker, politician, zoologist and soldier, who was a member of the Rothschild family. Rothschild was the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews from 1925 to 1926.
