Franklin Township, Johnson County, Indiana
Franklin Township was one of nine townships in Johnson County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 20,685 and it contained 8,503 housing units. Lydia J. Wales was elected as Franklin Township Trustee and began serving her first term on January 1, 2015 and was reelected to a second term beginning on January 1, 2019. As of January 1, 2022, Franklin, Union, and Needham townships were merged into a single entity known as Franklin-Union-Needham Township ("FUN"). National Historic Landmarks in Indiana represent Indiana's history from the Native American era to its early European settlers and motor racing. There are 43 National Historic Landmarks (NHLs) in the state, which are located in 23 of its 92 counties. They illustrate the state's industrial and architectural heritage, as well as battles, circuses, education, and several other topics. One of the NHLs in the state has military significance, fourteen are significant examples of different architectural styles, nine are associated with significant historical figures, and one is an archaeological site. Two NHL properties, both ships that were formerly located in Indiana, were later moved to another state. The National Historic Landmark Program is administered by the National Park Service, a branch of the Department of the Interior. State Road 144 (SR 144) in the U.S. state of Indiana is a highway that exists in two short disconnected segments south of Indianapolis. Route description The western segment of SR 144 begins at an intersection with SR 42 and SR 67 in Mooresville. Traveling southeast in the far northeast of rural Morgan County, SR 144 crosses over the White River before entering Johnson County and the town of Bargersville before terminating at a dogbone interchange with I-69. The eastern segment begins at an intersection with SR 135 in central Bargersville. Continuing southeast through rural Johnson County, SR 144 terminates at a roundabout with SR 44 in Franklin.
