Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate
Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate ( ar, محافظة مبارك الكبير Muḥāfaẓat Mubārak al-Kabīr) is one of the governorates of Kuwait which mainly houses residential areas of Kuwait City. It was formed in 2000 when the Hawalli Governorate was split in two. Governorates Of Kuwait
Kuwait is divided into 6 governorates (''muhafazah''). The governorates are further subdivided into areas. The governorate is headed by a Governor appointed by a ministerial decree for a period of 4 years which can be renewed upon the proposal of the Prime Minister. History The beginning of the formation of governorates in the State of Kuwait started back in 1962 with the Emiri decree No. 6 which divided the Kuwait into three governorates i.e. Al Asimah Governorate, Ḩawallī Governorate and Al Aḩmadi Governorate. Later, Jahra Governorate, Farwaniya Governorate and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate were formed in 1979, 1988 and 1999 respectively. Al Farwaniyah Governorate
Farwaniya Governorate ( ar, محافظة الفروانية Muḥāfaẓat al-Farwānīyah) is the most populous of the six governorates of Kuwait, in terms of a total number of residents. It is Kuwait City's main residential area and also forms an important part of Kuwait's commercial activities. The Governor is Faisal H. M. Al-Sabah as of May 2014. Sabah Al-Salem (Arabic: صباح السالم) is an area in Kuwait, belonging to the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. As of 2022, its population is 139,163, spread out over 13 blocks. Sabah Al-Salem is an area of mixed development with residential, commercial, educational and entertainment facilities. Sabah Al Salem's Blocks ''Block 1'' of Sabah Al-Salem has many activities and places to be. Those places include restaurants, like McDonald's and Starbucks, salons, football and padel fields, schools, apartments, hospitals, gyms, and more. ''Blocks 2'' and ''3'' also have many places similar to block 1, but they aren't as popular. ''Blocks 4'' throughout ''13'' are residential areas.
