Morrison Government
The Morrison government was the federal executive government of Australia, led by Prime Minister Scott Morrison of the Liberal Party of Australia, between 2018 and 2022. The Morrison government commenced on 24 August 2018, when it was sworn in by the Governor-General of Australia. It was composed of members of the Liberal– National Coalition and succeeds the Abbott (2013–2015) and Turnbull (2015–2018) coalition governments in office, competing against the Australian Labor Party as the major Opposition party. Nationals Leader Michael McCormack served as Deputy Prime Minister of Australia from the formation of the Morrison government until June 2021. Kevin Hogan (politician)
Kevin John Hogan (born 11 August 1963) is an Australian politician. He has been a Nationals member of the Australian House of Representatives, representing the Division of Page in New South Wales, since September 2013. Early life Hogan was born in Port Augusta in regional South Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Economics at Flinders University in 1984, he began a career in finance. He moved to Sydney and worked for an official money market dealer, GIO Securities, dealing with the Reserve Bank of Australia on a daily basis. Hogan then went on to work with Colonial State Bank for ten years. In this role he managed a multibillion-dollar portfolio and appeared on Sky News every morning giving an economic update. The deputy prime minister of Australia is the deputy chief executive and the second highest ranking officer of the Australian Government. The office of deputy prime minister was officially created as a ministerial portfolio in 1968, although the title had been used informally for many years previously. Michael Francis McCormack (born 2 August 1964) is an Australian politician who was leader of the National Party and the 18th deputy prime minister of Australia from February 2018 to June 2021. He was also Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, having previously served as Minister for Defence Personnel and Minister for Veterans' Affairs from 2017 to 2018. In Australian parliamentary practice, the Opposition consists of the second largest party or coalition of parties in the Australian House of Representatives, with its leader being given the title "Leader of the Opposition". The Opposition serves the same function as the official opposition in other Commonwealth of Nations monarchies that follow the Westminster conventions and practices. It is seen as the alternative government and the existing administration's main opponent in the Australian Parliament and at a general election. Kerryn Phelps
Kerryn Lyndel Phelps (born 14 December 1957) is an Australian medical practitioner, public health and civil rights advocate, medical educator and former politician. She was the first woman to be elected president of the Australian Medical Association (AMA). In 2001, she was awarded the Centenary Medal for services to health and medicine. In 2011 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her service to medicine, particularly through leadership roles with the AMA, education and community health, and as a general practitioner.
