Piper Ritter
Piper Marten Ritter (born April 7, 1983) is an American, former collegiate softball pitcher and current head coach at Minnesota Golden Gophers softball, Minnesota. Ritter played college softball at Minnesota from 2001 to 2004, and was named a four-time All-Big Ten Conference honoree. She is the school's career leader in Walks plus hits per inning pitched, WHIP. Ritter was undrafted and played one season in the National Pro Fastpitch in 2005 with the defunct Texas Thunder. Early life Ritter played at Farmington High School (New Mexico), Farmington High School and led the Lady Scorpions to a state title and was named the 2000 Gatorade New Mexico Player of The Year. 2017 Big Ten Softball Tournament
The 2017 Big Ten softball tournament was held at Wilpon Complex on the campus of University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from May 11 through May 13, 2017. As the tournament winner, Minnesota earned the Big Ten Conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I softball tournament. All games of the tournament aired on BTN. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. Seymour Community High School is a public high school in Seymour, Wisconsin administered by the Seymour Community School District. Its enrollment for the 2019–20 school year was 694. Seymour, Wisconsin
Seymour is a city in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,451 at the 2010 census. The city is located within the Town of Seymour and the Town of Osborn. History Seymour was founded in 1868 and named after Governor Horatio Seymour of New York. William and John Ausbourne were the first settlers in Seymour. They had traveled from western Outagamie County on the Wolf River during the summer of 1857, making their way to the mouth of the Shioc River and moving to a spot where the Black Creek flows into the Shioc. After finding no more roads to follow, the Ausbournes settled in the present location of Seymour, which was occupied by Native Americans at the time. In baseball, a utility player is a player who typically does not have the offensive abilities to justify a regular starting role on the team but is capable of playing more than one defensive position. These players are able to give the various starters a rest, or replace a starter due to injury, or play late in a game to provide improved defense when their team is winning. Description Utility infielders typically play both second base and shortstop, sometimes also third base, and more rarely first base. A "fourth outfielder" is likewise an outfielder who can play all three outfield positions but does not have the hitting skills to be a starting player. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. Infield is a sports term whose definition depends on the sport in whose context it is used. Baseball In baseball, the diamond, as well as the area immediately beyond it, has both grass and dirt, in contrast to the more distant, usually grass-covered, ''outfield''.
