Milwaukee Mustangs (2009–2012)
The Milwaukee Mustangs were a professional arena football team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were members of the Arena Football League (AFL), which they joined in 2010 during the league's restructuring. They played their home games at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. The team began play in 2009 as the Milwaukee Iron, and competed in af2, the AFL's developmental league. They joined the AFL after the league's restructuring in 2010. On January 27, 2011, the team officially changed its name to the Mustangs, after an Milwaukee Mustangs (1994–2001), older team that had played in the AFL from 1994 to 2001. Their final head coach was Bob Landsee. The Mustangs were dormant for the 2013 season. 2012 Arena Football League Season
The 2012 Arena Football League season was the 25th season in the history of the league. The regular season began on March 9, 2012 with a game between the Pittsburgh Power and the Orlando Predators and ended on July 22, 2012 with a game between the Utah Blaze and Philadelphia Soul. The Arizona Rattlers defeated the Philadelphia Soul by a 72–54 score in ArenaBowl XXV on August 10, 2012 to conclude the playoffs. League business Teams The only franchise that relocated during the offseason was the Tulsa Talons, which became the San Antonio Talons following a move to San Antonio, Texas, where the team announced they would play at the Alamodome. When the 2012 schedule was announced, the Dallas Vigilantes were left off without any explanation on the status of the franchise. No expansion teams were added for the 2012 season. Gino Guidugli (born March 13, 1983) is a former American football quarterback and current quarterbacks coach at the University of Notre Dame. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Cincinnati. He is also a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was one of the backup quarterbacks with the Canadian Football League's BC Lions before being cut by the team following their 2008 training camp. WAUK (540 AM) is a commercial progressive talk radio station licensed to the Washington County community of Jackson, Wisconsin, and serving the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is known on-air as The Sha 101 FM in reference to the station's Waukesha based FM translator. The station's studios and offices are in downtown Waukesha making it the only station based in the city with a physical presence.
