Military In Karachi
The Military installations in Karachi are extensive as the Pakistani military has several military bases for all branches of its uniform services. The Pakistan Army has six military bases, that are noted as Cantts, while the Karachi Port serves as the main naval base for the Pakistan Navy and Qasim Fort as the headquarter for the Pakistan Marines. The Pakistan Air Force has three air force bases in Karachi. Faisal Cantonment
The Faisal Cantonment ( ur, )is a cantonment town of the city of Karachi, in Sindh, Pakistan. It serves as an Airforce base and residential establishment. PAF Base established in 1925, as a strategically important British Royal Air force Base. Drigh Road Cantonment was established in 1925 for the civilian population near the British Royal Air force Base, vide Government of Bombay Revenue Department Notification No.4840/24 dated 04-11-1925. In 1947 it was renamed as Faisal Cantonment. The municipal limits of the Cantonment Board were altered twice: in 1988 and 1995. PNS Mehran
The PNS Mehran is the naval station and the premier air–to-air/ air–to–ground training naval air station located in the joint vicinity of the Faisal Air Force Base (Faisal AFB) in Karachi, Sindh, in Pakistan. Established in 1975 with the cooperation of the Pakistan Air Force, the PNS ''Mehran'' serves in the capacity as the headquarter of the Naval Aviation Branch of the Pakistan Navy, and grown to its present inventory of 41 multi role aircraft. PNS Himalaya
The PNS ''Himalaya (also known as BINS Himalaya)'' is the naval base and the home of the Pakistan Navy's only boot camp, commissioned in 1943. PNS Iqbal
The PNS Iqbal (also known as Naval Base Iqbal ) is the naval base that serves as the training and operating headquarters of the Navy Special Service Group, having been established in 1966 at the Karachi coast in Sindh in Pakistan. Besides serving as the headquarter of the Navy Special Service Group, the PNS Iqbal is a submarine base for the ''Cosmos''-class submarine, and served as a submarine base since its establishment in 1968. PNS Rahat Hospital
The Pakistan Naval Station Rahat, or PNS Rahat Hospital, is a Pakistan Naval hospital and a medical treatment facility. It is located at Karsaz Road in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. History PNS Rahat was established in 1954, by the United States Navy. It was commissioned on 20 October 1994, and Vice-Admiral Rashid Ahmad Khan was appointed its first Surgeon-General of the PNS Rahat.
