The State Administration Council ( my, နိုင်ငံတော်စီမံအုပ်ချုပ်ရေးကောင်စီ; abbreviated SAC or နစက) is the military junta currently governing Myanmar, established by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Min Aung Hlaing following the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état, February 2021 coup d'état. The Council is Chairman of the State Administration Council, chaired by Min Aung Hlaing. Union Solidarity And Development Party
The Union Solidarity and Development Party ( my, ပြည်ထောင်စုကြံ့ခိုင်ရေးနှင့် ဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေးပါတီ; abbr. USDP) is a political party in Myanmar, registered on 2 June 2010 by the Union Election Commission and currently standing as the largest opposition party in the bicameral Assembly of the Union. It is the successor to the formerly ruling military junta's mass organisation, the Union Solidarity and Development Association. The party was headed by President Thein Sein until 2013, and its headquarters are in Naypyidaw's Dekkhinathiri Township. The National Democratic Force (NDF), is a political party in Myanmar (Burma). It was founded by former members of the National League for Democracy (NLD) who disagreed with the party leadership's decision to boycott the 2010 general election. History The National Democratic Force (NDF) was founded in June 2010 by Khin Maung Swe, Than Nyein, Thein Nyunt, and Win Naing, all of whom were prominent members of the NLD. Khin Maung Swe ( my, ခင်မောင်ဆွေ) is a Burmese politician and member of Myanmar's State Administration Council. He is the chairman of the National Democratic Force (NDF). Early life and education Khin Maung Swe was born on 20 July 1942 in Ngathaingchaung, Pathein District. He graduated in 1966 with a degree in geology. From 1966 to 1988, he worked as a geologist at the Myanmar Petroleum Corporation. Career He served as secretary of the Petroleum Workers' Union during the 8888 Uprising. At the invitation of Aung San Suu Kyi, he became a member of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in October 1988. In July 1989, he became a member of the executive committee. Thein Nyunt ( my, သိန်းညွန့်; born 26 December 1944 or 20 November 1944) is a Burmese lawyer, columnist, and politician. He served on Myanmar's State Administration Council from 2021 to 2023. A former member of the National League for Democracy (NLD), he founded the New National Democracy Party and co-founded the National Democratic Force (NDF) after splitting from the NLD. Thein Nyunt served as an MP for the Pyithu Hluttaw, representing Thingangyun Township, from 2011 to 2016.
