Midland College
Midland College (MC) is a public community college in Midland, Texas. It was established as an independent junior college in 1972 and held its first classes on campus in 1975. Since that time, the campus has expanded to a main campus on in Midland. It also has numerous locations in other parts of Midland and in Fort Stockton, the Pecos County seat. History Midland College began in September 1969 as the Midland campus of the Permian Junior College system. It was recreated in 1972 with the formation of the Midland College District. Service area As defined by the Texas Legislature, the official service area of Midland College is all of Crockett, Midland, Pecos, Reagan, and Terrell counties. Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is an agency of the U.S. state of Texas's government that oversees all public post-secondary education in the state. It is headquartered at 1801 North Congress Avenue in Austin. THECB determines which Texas public four-year universities are permitted to start or continue degree programs. THECB also evaluates degrees from other states and other nations for use in Texas. However, operations of the various universities or systems are the responsibility of each university or system board of regents. Jerome Beasley (born May 17, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. Standing at 6 ft 10 in, he played the center and power forward positions. High school career Beasley graduated from Moreno Valley High School in California in 1999. Howard Payne University is a private Baptist university in Brownwood, Texas. It is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Howard Payne College was founded by Reverend Noah T. Byers and Dr. John David Robnett in 1889. The institution is named for its first major benefactor, Edward Howard Payne, who was the brother-in-law of Robnett.
