Michael McDonald (born February 12, 1952) is an American singer, keyboardist and songwriter known for his distinctive, soulful voice and as a member of the bands the Doobie Brothers (1975–1982, 1987, 2019–present) and Steely Dan (1973–1974). McDonald wrote and sang several hit singles with the Doobie Brothers, including " What a Fool Believes", "Minute by Minute", and " Takin' It to the Streets." McDonald has also performed as a prominent backing vocalist on numerous recordings by artists including Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, and Kenny Loggins. McDonald's solo career consists of nine studio albums and a number of singles, including the 1982 hit "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)". Mike McDonald (footballer)
Michael Flynn McDonald (born 8 November 1950) was a footballer who played in The Football League for Stoke City as well as a number of Scottish clubs. Career McDonald was born in Glasgow and played with St Roch's and Clydebank before joining Stoke City in 1972. His transfer to Stoke came about when, in October 1972, Stoke's World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks was involved in a near fatal car crash which left him blind in one eye and ended his top flight career. Manager Tony Waddington wanted Scotland international Bobby Clark to be his replacement but he failed to impress the Stoke board and the move fell through. So Instead Banks' understudy John Farmer was made first choice and McDonald was brought in as his back-up. He made just nine appearances for Stoke in two seasons and returned north of the border to Hibernian. Michael McDonald (born c. 1963) is an American costume designer who was nominated for both a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award in 2009 for his work on the Broadway revival of the musical '' Hair''. Early life and education McDonald was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and is a 1981 graduate of William Allen High School. He attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, where he took his first costume design course and subsequently worked on several of Muhlenberg's theatrical productions. Michael James McDonald (born December 31, 1964) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for starring in the sketch comedy show ''MADtv''. McDonald joined the show during the fourth season (1998) and remained in the cast until the end of the thirteenth and penultimate season, having become the longest-tenured cast member. Early life McDonald was born in Fullerton, California. He graduated from St. Juliana Catholic Elementary School in Fullerton, and later went to Servite High School in Anaheim, California, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a business degree. Michael Anthony McDonald (born February 6, 1965) is a Canadian retired heavyweight kickboxing, kickboxer. Nicknamed "The Black Sniper", he is the former three-time K-1, K-1 USA Grand Prix Champion. Michael Dewayne McDonald (born February 13, 1969) is a retired American basketball player. McDonald played college basketball for Utah Valley and New Orleans. He played one game in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets. Career A 6'10" and center, McDonal played collegiately for Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) and the University of New Orleans. In 1990–91, he averaged 12.3 points and 8.3 rebounds for Utah Valley. After sitting out a year due to his transfer, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for New Orleans as a junior in 1992-93. During his senior year in 1994-95, he averaged 11.1 points and 9.7 rebounds with 81 blocked shots. Michael L. McDonald (born 17 March 1975 in Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica) is a Jamaican runner who competed mainly in the 400 metres. McDonald is the youngest person to win an event on the European Poker Tour (EPT) and the youngest person to win an event on the Epic Poker League (EPL). Michael Cassius McDonald (1839 – August 9, 1907) was a crime boss, political boss, and businessman based out of Chicago. He is considered to have introduced organized crime to the city, and to have also established its first political machine. At the height of his power, he had influence over politicians of all levels in the state of Illinois. McDonald permanently settled in Chicago as an adult sometime after the American Civil War. McDonald ran gambling parlors in the city. As a crime boss, he developed a system in which he would guarantee the city's gambling dens and brothels protection from interference in exchange for payment.
