Edward Mezvinsky
Edward Maurice Mezvinsky (; born January 17, 1937) is an American politician and lawyer from Iowa. He is a former U.S. Representative and felon. A Democrat, he represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for two terms (1973–77). Mezvinsky grew up in Ames, Iowa, and played high school football there. He graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1965). After being elected to the Iowa Legislature (1968), he lost a race for Congress in 1970, then won in 1972 and was re-elected in 1974. He made several unsuccessful U.S. Senate attempts in the 1980s. In 2001, he was convicted of 31 charges of felony fraud, and served five years in federal prison. In 2010, he became father-in-law to Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Hillary and Bill Clinton. Marc Mezvinsky (born December 10, 1977) is an American investor and managing director at TPG Inc., TPG. He has served previously as vice chairman at Social Capital (venture capital), Social Capital. He is the husband of Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky
Marjorie Margolies (; formerly Margolies-Mezvinsky; born June 21, 1942) is a fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute of Government, an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, and a women's rights activist. She is a former journalist and a Democratic politician. From 1993 to 1995, she was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania's 13th congressional district. Margolies cast the deciding vote in favor of President Bill Clinton’s 1993 budget proposal. Early life, education, and journalism career Margolies was born in Philadelphia. Norton Mezvinsky
Norton Mezvinsky (1932 – 2022) was an American historian, professor, and author. He was a Distinguished University Professor, Emeritus, Central Connecticut State University, and was the president of the International Council for Middle East Studies, an academic think tank in Washington, D. C. He has written numerous published books, articles, and book reviews that deal with various aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict and Zionism. Family Norton Mezvinsky was from a well-known Iowa family long involved in Jewish politics.
