Barry McDaniel (October 18, 1930 – June 18, 2018) was an American operatic baritone who spent his career almost exclusively in Germany, including 37 years at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He appeared internationally at major opera houses and festivals, and created roles in several new operas, including Henze's ''Der junge Lord'', Nabokov's ''Love's Labour's Lost'', and Reimann's ''Melusine''. He was also a celebrated concert singer and recitalist, focused on German ''Lied'' and French ''mélodie''. He was the first singer of Wilhelm Killmayer's song cycle '' Tre Canti di Leopardi''. Xavier Maurice McDaniel (born June 4, 1963), nicknamed "X-Man", is an American retired professional basketball player who, at 6 ft 7 in, played both small forward and power forward. He played in college at Wichita State University. High School career McDaniel attended A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Terence Lee McDaniel (born February 8, 1965) is a former American football player who played 11 seasons in the National Football League, mostly with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. A 5'10", 180-pound cornerback, he played college football at the University of Tennessee, and was selected in the first round (9th overall) of the 1988 NFL Draft.
