Burgomaster (alternatively spelled burgermeister, literally "master of the town, master of the borough, master of the fortress, master of the citizens") is the English form of various terms in or derived from Germanic languages for the chief magistrate or executive of a city or town. Hilversum () is a city and municipality in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. Located in the heart of the Gooi, it is the largest urban centre in that area. It is surrounded by heathland, woods, meadows, lakes, and smaller towns. Alexander Boudewijn Sakkers (Delft, 28 May 1948) is a former politician from the Netherlands. He is a former member of the gedeputeerde staten of Groningen, mayor of Heerlen and mayor of Eindhoven. Sakkers grew up in Arnhem. Originally he was employed as an airforce officer, however after his study in geography, he chose a career in education. Till 1993 he was rector (head of daily ongoings) of the secondary school community in Ter Apel. Sakkers is a member of the liberal party, the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). Eijsden
Eijsden (; li, Èèsjde ) is a village situated in the very south of the European country the Netherlands. It is located in the southwestern part of the province of Limburg. Until 1 January 2011, Eijsden was the main village in a municipality with the same name. On that date this municipality merged with the neighbouring one of Margraten, resulting in nowadays Eijsden-Margraten municipality, in which Eijsden again is the biggest place. This village is one of the most southerly places in the Netherlands, for in its south it is extending up to the most southerly part of the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. Kaatsheuvel () is a town in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands situated along highways N261 and N628.
