Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, professionally known as Mandaryna, born Marta Mandrykiewicz on 12 March 1978 in Łódź, Poland, is a Polish singer, dancer and actress. She rose to fame as the dancer of Polish pop group Ich Troje, and the partner of its leader, Michał Wiśniewski. She embarked on a singing career in 2004, covering Whitesnake's " Here I Go Again", which became a hit in Poland. Her first two albums, ''Mandaryna.com'' and '' Mandarynkowy sen'', released in 2004 and 2005, respectively, were met with commercial success. In 2005, Mandaryna sparked a major controversy during her performance at Sopot Festival, which exposed her alleged lack of vocal talent. Nonetheless, the performed song "Ev'ry Night" became a massive hit and remains arguably her best-known song to date. Groove Coverage is a German dance band which consists of Axel Konrad, DJ Novus, Melanie Munch, better known as Mell (lead singer), and Verena Rehm (former stage performer, backing singer, occasional lead singer). VIVA (TV Station)
VIVA (abbreviation for: translating to "Video Exploitation Facility") was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the first German-language music TV channel, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists mostly from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. After years of competition for audience share, MTV Networks Europe eventually acquired VIVA on 14 January 2005 after it had outrun its own efforts for better ratings. ''AOK'' is a studio album by Polish singer and dancer Mandaryna, released in 2009. Background The main producer of ''AOK'' was Ali Alien. It is said that this person is in fact Michał Wiśniewski. Musically, the album references electro-pop works of artists such as Lady Gaga. The album was expected to be a big comeback for the singer, after her 2005 ''Mandarynkowy sen'' album and legal problems in the following years, but turned out a commercial failure. ''AOK'' did not chart and only 5,000 copies were sold. The lead single, "Good Dog Bad Dog", met with considerable success, but the release of the second single, "High", was cancelled.
