MachineGames Sweden AB is a Swedish video game developer based in Uppsala. The studio was founded in 2009 by seven former employees of Starbreeze Studios, including founder Magnus Högdahl. After unsuccessfully pitching game ideas to several publishers, MachineGames agreed with Bethesda Softworks to develop an entry in the ''Wolfenstein'' series in July 2010 and was acquired by Bethesda's parent company, ZeniMax Media, in November. In the ''Wolfenstein'' series, MachineGames developed '' The New Order'' (2014), '' The Old Blood'' (2015), ''The New Colossus'' (2017), '' Youngblood'' (2019), and '' Cyberpilot'' (2019). The studio also developed ''Indiana Jones and the Great Circle'' (2024) and is developing another ''Wolfenstein'' game. A subsidiary, subsidiary company, or daughter company is a company (law), company completely or partially owned or controlled by another company, called the parent company or holding company, which has legal and financial control over the subsidiary company. ''Syndicate'' is a 2012 first-person shooter, first-person shooter game developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released for PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Windows, and Xbox 360 in February 2012. ''Syndicate'' (2012) is a Video game remake, reboot of the ''Syndicate (series), Syndicate'' series of real-time tactics games developed by Bullfrog Productions. Set in the year 2069, the narrative revolves around Miles Kilo, a EuroCorp agent who must eliminate important personnel from rival corporations; in the process, he discovers the evil, secret practice used by EuroCorp to recruit agents. The game features a large variety of weapons; from standard pistols to futuristic guns. Kilo is implanted with a Integrated circuit, computer chip that allows him to access the dataverse and can use hacker (programmer subculture), hacking to defeat enemies and solve environmental puzzles.
