Lucky Me (film)
''Lucky Me'' is a 1954 American musical comedy film starring Doris Day, Robert Cummings and Phil Silvers. It was the first musical film produced in the CinemaScope process and filmed in Eastmancolor, Warnercolor. Plot Candy Williams is a member of a struggling vaudeville troupe that is stranded in Miami when creditors take all of their money. After the troupe's leader Hap Schneider tries to scam a restaurant out of dinner, they are forced to work in the hotel to pay for the meal. While cleaning a hallway, Flo Neely hears Dick Carson singing songs for his new Broadway theatre, Broadway show. She tells Hap and Duke McGee that Dick is staying in the hotel. Candy has met Dick but believes that he is a mechanic named Eddie. She arranges a date with him but Hap joins them and tells her that Eddie is Dick Carson. The Moments (US Group)
Ray, Goodman & Brown is an American R&B vocal group. The group originated as The Moments, who formed in the mid-1960s and whose greatest successes came in the 1970s with hits including " Love on a Two-Way Street", "Sexy Mama", and "Look at Me (I'm in Love)". In 1978, they changed their name to Ray, Goodman & Brown and had further hits, including " Special Lady". The original Moments Early years The original members of the Moments were Eric Olfus Sr., Richard Gross (often incorrectly listed as "Richard Horsley"), and John Morgan. The Moments formed in Washington, D.C. during the mid-1960s. In 1965, at Washington D.C.'s Howard University, the Mizell Brothers and Freddie Perren (along with schoolmate Toby Jackson) founded Hog Records and signed the harmony group as the Moments. Lee Roy Parnell (born December 21, 1956) is an American country music and blues artist, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Active since 1990, he has recorded eight studio albums, and has charted more than twenty singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. His highest-charting hits are "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am" (1992), " Tender Moment" (1993), and " A Little Bit of You" (1995), all of which peaked at No. 2. Four more of his singles have charted in the Top Ten as well. Parnell made a shift in the early 2000s back to the bluesier sounds of his early works, releasing two blues albums on Vanguard Records and Universal South. Lucky Me! is a Philippine instant noodle brand introduced in 1989 by Monde Nissin. History In November 1989, Monde Nissin entered the instant noodle segment with Lucky Me!. It launched Instant Mami, noodle with soup in pouches, in Beef and Chicken variants. Eventually, these became the fastest-selling products like beef and chicken flavor. 1991 saw the introduction of Lucky Me! Marvin Pentz Gay Jr., who also spelled his surname as Gaye (April 2, 1939 – April 1, 1984), was an American singer and songwriter. Stephanie Sachiko Parker (born September 1, 1956) is an American actress who has film and television credits. Early life Parker was born in Los Angeles, California, the only child of actress Shirley MacLaine and businessman Steve Parker (1922–2001). MacLaine and her husband had an open marriage. At age two, Parker was sent to Japan to live with her father and his mistress. During the summer and at holidays, she visited her mother. They posed together on the cover of the February 9, 1959, issue of ''Life''. The LeRoi Brothers are an American rock band from Austin, Texas. The group was founded in 1981 by Mike Buck (also of The Fabulous Thunderbirds), Don Leady, Steve Doerr, and Alex Napier. The group was a long-running Austin bar band, but achieved national success with the album ''Open All Night'', which reached #181 on the ''Billboard'' 200 in 1987.
