Lombok
Lombok is an island in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. It forms part of the chain of the Lesser Sunda Islands, with the Lombok Strait separating it from Bali to the west and the Alas Strait between it and Sumbawa to the east. It is roughly circular, with a "tail" ( Sekotong Peninsula) to the southwest, about across and a total area of about including smaller offshore islands. The provincial capital and largest city on the island is Mataram. Orang Lombok is some what similar in size and density, and shares some cultural heritage with the neighboring island of Bali to the west. However, it is administratively part of West Nusa Tenggara, along with the larger and more sparsely populated island of Sumbawa to the east. North Lombok Regency ( id, Kabupaten Lombok Utara) is a regency of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Lombok and the capital is Tanjung situated on the northwest coast of the island. Central Lombok Regency
Central Lombok Regency is a regency ( id, Kabupaten) of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Lombok and the capital is Praya. It covers an area of 1,208.39 km2, and had a population of 859,309 at the 2010 census and 1,034,859 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 1,049,710. East Lombok Regency
East Lombok Regency is a Regencies of Indonesia, regency ( id, Kabupaten) of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Lombok, of which it comprises the eastern third (including minor offshore islands); the administrative capital is the town of Selong, Lombok, Selong. The Lombok Strait ( id, Selat Lombok), is a strait connecting the Java Sea to the Indian Ocean, and is located between the islands of Bali and Lombok in Indonesia. The Gili Islands are on the Lombok side. Its narrowest point is at its southern opening, with a width of about between the islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida, in the middle of the strait. Gili Islands
The Gili Islands ( id, Tiga Gili [Three Gilis], Kepulauan Gili [Gili Islands]) are an archipelago of three small islands or Gili island triplets — #Gili Trawangan, Gili Trawangan, #Gili Meno, Gili Meno and #Gili Air, Gili Air — just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia. Mount Rinjani
Mount Rinjani ( id, Gunung Rinjani) is an active volcano in Indonesia on the island of Lombok. Sasak People
The Sasak people live mainly on the island of Lombok, Indonesia, numbering around 3.6 million (85% of Lombok's population). They are related to the Balinese people, Balinese in language and ancestry, although the Sasak are predominantly Muslim while the Balinese are predominantly Hindu. Sasak people who practice pre-Islamic beliefs are also known as Sasak Boda in reference to the name of the Sasak people's original religion, Bodha.
