Lipscomb ( ) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lipscomb County, Texas, United States. It is the Lipscomb county seat. The population was 37 at the 2010 census. Geography Lipscomb is located south of the center of Lipscomb County at (36.232224, -100.271869). Texas State Highway 305 forms the western edge of the community; the highway leads north to Darrouzett and south to Glazier. Lipscomb House, or Lipscombe House, is a historic Federal architecture, Federal-style Plantation complexes in the Southern United States, plantation house in Durham, North Carolina, United States. The Lipscomb Plantation, sitting on 2,000 acres between the Eno River and the Little River (Eno River tributary), Little River, was one of the largest Slavery in the United States, forced-labor cotton farms in Durham County, North Carolina, Durham County. The plantation was part of the Trading Path, used by Catawba people, Catawba and Waxhaw people, Waxhaw Native American tribes trading between Petersburg, Virginia, and Hillsborough, North Carolina. Lipscomb University is a private university in Nashville, Tennessee. It is affiliated with the Churches of Christ. The campus is located in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, between Belmont Boulevard to the west and Granny White Pike on the east. Student enrollment for the fall 2016 semester was 4,632, which included 2,986 undergraduate students and 1,646 graduate students. It also maintains two satellite locations called "Spark," in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, Tennessee and in Downtown Nashville to serve the business community.
