The Kosovo Police ( sq, Policia e Kosovës, sr-Cyrl, Полиција Косова, sr-Latn, Policija Kosova) is the national police, policing law enforcement agency of Kosovo. History A Kosovo Police Service was created in 1999 in the aftermath of the Kosovo War and subsequent withdrawal of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav forces from Kosovo. The establishment of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) included a large international policing component, called the UNMIK Police.
