Ivan Ivanovich Kvitka (russian: Иван Иванович Квитка; born May 4, 1967, Kalach, Sverdlovsk Oblast) is a Russian political figure and a deputy of the 8th State Duma. In 2000, Kvitka was granted a Candidate of Sciences degree in Philosophy. From 1992 to 1997, he worked as Vice-Rector for General Affairs of the Tyumen State Institute of World Economics, Management and Law. In 2001-2007, he was the deputy of the Tyumen Regional Duma of the 3rd and 4th convocations. In 2007, he was elected deputy of the State Duma of the 5th convocation. Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko ( ua, Григорій Квітка-Основ'яненко, 29 November 1778 – 20 August 1843) was a Ukraine, Ukrainian writer, journalist, and playwright. Founder of Ukrainian classicist prose. He was born in the vicinity of Kharkiv. Life and work Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko was born in 1778 in the village of Osnova, near the city of Kharkiv, to a family of Ukrainian nobility. He adopted the pen name "Osnovianenko," a reference to the village of his birth, when he embarked on his literary career. In 1812, G. F. Kvitka-Osnovianenko begins his social activities. He was appointed the director of a new regular lay theatre open in Kharkov. Kvitka-Osnovianenko carried his love to theatre through all his life. Later this feeling made him write theatre drama works. Klyment Vasilyovich Kvitka ( uk, Климент Васильович Квітка; February 4, 1880 – September 19, 1953) was a Ukrainian and Soviet musicologist and ethnographer, and the husband of poet Lesya Ukrainka.
