Martin Koeman
Martinus Cornelis Koeman (26 July 1938 – 18 December 2013) was a Dutch footballer who played as a centre-back. Biography Koeman played professional football with KFC of Koog aan de Zaan from 1955 to 1960, Blauw-Wit Amsterdam from 1960 to 1963, GVAV/Groningen from 1963 to 1973 and SC Heerenveen until his retirement. He was selected regularly for the Netherlands national team but only played one match, against Austria on 12 April 1964. Despite his respectable career, he is best known for being the father of Erwin and Ronald Koeman, who followed in their father's footsteps as footballers, with both of his sons playing for Groningen and the Dutch national team. One of the stands in the Euroborg stadium of Groningen has been named Koeman Stand after Martin and his two sons. Erwin Koeman (born 20 September 1961) is a Dutch retired professional football player and retired football manager. Personal life He is the son of Dutch international footballer Martin Koeman, and, alongside his younger brother Ronald, has also represented the Netherlands. All three Koemans played for Groningen at some time during their careers. Erwin Koeman's son, Len, is also a footballer and currently plays for the Helmond Sport youth team. Ronald Koeman, his younger brother, is a manager who was most recently the coach of FC Barcelona. Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman (; born 21 March 1963) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player. He is the younger brother of his former international teammate Erwin Koeman and the son of former Dutch international Martin Koeman. Koeman was capable of playing both as a defender and as a midfielder; he frequently played as a sweeper, although he was equally known for his goalscoring, long–range shooting, and accuracy from free kicks and penalties. Born in Zaandam, Koeman began his career at Groningen before transferring to the Netherlands' most successful club Ajax in 1983, where they won the national Eredivisie title in 1984–85.
