Kevin Burke (born 1950) is an Irish master fiddler considered one of the finest living Irish fiddlers. For nearly five decades he has been at the forefront of Irish traditional music and Celtic music, performing and recording with the groups The Bothy Band, Patrick Street, and the Celtic Fiddle Festival. He is a 2002 recipient of a National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. In addition to his solo albums, Burke has had successful project collaborations with Christy Moore, Andy Irvine & Paul Brady, Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, Jackie Daly, Ged Foley and Cal Scott. Early life Kevin Burke was born in 1950 in London, England to parents from County Sligo in Ireland. Early life and education Burke received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Minnesota in 1972, and received his Juris Doctor in 1975. Legal career Burke served as an assistant public defender in the Hennepin County Public Defenders Office from 1975 until 1979. He left the Public Defenders office in 1979 to be partner at the law firm of Ranum, Quackenbush & Burke. Kevin Burke (born February 24, 1993) is an American football coach and former professional quarterback. He played college football for Mount Union where he was a two time winner of the Gagliardi Trophy and won the NCAA Division 3 championship. Burke played professionally in Europe for the Dacia Vikings in the Austrian Football League the Memphis Express as well as the Bern Grizzlies in Nationalliga A. He currently serves as quarterbacks coach for Mount Union and was previously the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Case Western Reserve Spartans. Kevin Burke (born 2000) is an Irish hurler who plays for Dublin Senior Championship club Na Fianna and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-back. Career A member of the Na Fianna club in Glasnevin, Burke first came to prominence at schools' level with the combined Dublin North team that won the Leinster Colleges Championship in 2018. He made his first appearance on the inter-county scene as a member of the Dublin minor team during the 2017 Leinster Championship, before later lining out at centre-back on the under-20 team that won the Leinster Championship title in 2020.
