Dabrun
Dabrun is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Kemberg. Geography Dabrun lies about 8 km southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg on the Elbe. The community belongs to the administrative community (''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'') of Kemberg whose seat is in the town of Kemberg. Bergwitz
Bergwitz is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 July 2005 it is part of the town Kemberg. Bergwitz is known regionally for the Bergwitzsee (Bergwitz lake) as a tourist recreation area. Geography Bergwitz is located on the edge of the Düben Heath, about 15 kilometers from Lutherstadt Wittenberg and 60 kilometers from Leipzig and Halle (Saale). History The area was already settled in the Bronze Age about 3000 years ago. On 1 July 2005, the municipality of Bergwitz with its subdivision of Klitzschena, was amalgamated with Kemberg. Wartenburg (Kemberg)
Wartenburg is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Kemberg. Geography Wartenburg lies about 12 km southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg on the Elbe. History Wartenburg had its first documentary mention in 1176 under the name ''Wardenberch''. The community has become well known for the engagement and successful crossing of the Elbe by Prussian and Russian troops under General Yorck von Wartenburg in 1813, late in the Napoleonic Wars once they were into a phase known in Germany as the Wars of Liberation.
