Keala Keanaaina (born May 30, 1977) is a former American football fullback who played two seasons with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League. He first enrolled at San Jose State University before transferring to the College of San Mateo and lastly the University of California, Berkeley. He attended Junípero Serra High School in San Mateo, California. Keanaaina was also a member of the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. Early years Keanaaina played high school football for the Junípero Serra High School Padres. As a junior, Keanaaina led the Serra Padre varsity football team in tackles, with a record 143 tackles, earning All WCAL first team, All Peninsula second team and All San Mateo County second team honors as a linebacker. Keala Kennelly (born August 13, 1978) is a professional surfer, DJ, and actress from Kauai, Hawaii. After spending a decade ranked in the top 10 on thASP World Championship Tour (WCT) Kennelly took a break from the tour in 2007 to explore her passions for acting and music, including a recurring role as a surfer in the 2007 series ''John from Cincinnati''. She continues to DJ and compete as a big wave surfer. Surfing career Kennelly turned professional at the age of 17 and soon began surfing in the World Qualifying Series (WQS). After finishing 2nd in the world on the WQS Tour in 1997, she was accepted to the World Championship Tour and quickly began earning victories at some of the tour's biggest events. Leonard Kwan
Leonard Keala Kwan Sr (1931-2000) was one of the most influential Hawaiian slack-key guitarists to emerge in the period immediately preceding the Hawaiian Cultural Renaissance of the 1970s. He made the first LP of slack key instrumentals, co-wrote the second slack key instruction book, and composed a number of pieces that have become part of the standard repertory. Most players will include Kwan, along with Gabby Pahinui, Sonny Chillingworth, and Atta Isaacs, on a list of the most significant players of the older generation. Slack-key guitar (from Hawaiian ''kī hōalu'', which means "loosen the uningkey") is a fingerstyle genre of guitar music that originated in Hawaii after Portuguese cowboys introduced Spanish guitars there in the late 19th century. The Hawaiians did not embrace the tuning of the traditional Spanish guitars they encountered. They re-tuned the guitars to sound a chord (now called an "open tuning") and developed their own style of playing, not using a flat pick, but plucking the strings. Most slack-key tunings can be achieved by starting with a guitar in standard tuning and detuning or "slacking" one or more of the strings until the six strings form a single chord, frequently G major. Keala O'Sullivan
Rachel Kealaonapua "Keala" O'Sullivan (later Watson, born November 3, 1950) is an American former diver. In 1965, she won the U.S. Junior AAU one-meter board diving championships. She represented the United States at the 1968 Olympics, where she earned a bronze medal in three-meter springboard; this made her the first Hawaiian athlete to medal in diving. O'Sullivan retired after failing to qualify for the 1972 Olympics. She then returned to Hawaii, where she coached divers at ʻIolani School.
