Judo At The 2015 European Games
The 2015 European Judo Championships were organised by the European Judo Union. Initially it was planned that championships will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 9 to 12 April 2015. On 21 February 2015, it was announced that competition would be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the 2015 European Games. The individual contests took place on 25–27 June 2015. The Organizing Committee announced on 4 April 2014 that visually impaired judo will be included as a medal event. This will make the European Games the first continental games to "fully integrate" a Para-sport discipline into its sports programme. Baku

Henk Grol
Hindrik Harmannus Arnoldus "Henk" Grol (born 14 April 1985 in Veendam) is a retired Dutch judoka. Judo career Grol competed in the 2007 European Judo Championships in Belgrade, Serbia in the men's under 90 kg, as a replacement for Mark Huizinga, who cancelled last minute due to personal problems. He won gold in the men's under 100-kilo class at the 2008 European Judo Championships in Lisbon, Portugal. He was the youngest European Champion of that year, only 22 years old. After a highly competitive race against Elco van der Geest, Grol ended up to be the 2008 representative for the men's 100 kg category for the Netherlands at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. There he reached the semifinals, where he was beaten by Askhat Zhitkeyev from Kazakhstan. He went on to win bronze beating Levan Zhorzholiani from Georgia. Guillaume Elmont
Guillaume Ricaldo Elmont (born 10 August 1981 in Rotterdam) is a male retired judoka from the Netherlands, whose biggest success so far was winning the world title at the World Championships in Cairo, Egypt. He did so in the 73–81 kg weight division. In 2005 he became Amsterdam Sportsman of the year. He has represented the Netherlands three times at the Olympics, in 2004, 2008 and 2012. He is a son of Surinamese judoka Ricardo Elmont and brother of Dex Elmont. Ilias Iliadis
Ilias Iliadis ( el, Ηλίας Ηλιάδης, born Jarji Zviadauri, ka, ჯარჯი ზვიადაური, on 10 November 1986) is a Georgian-born Greek judoka. He was named the 2014 Greek Male Athlete of the Year. He won a gold medal in the half-middleweight (81 kg) division at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens at age 17. Illiadis also won a gold medal 6 years later at the 2010 World Judo Championships in Tokyo in the −90 kg category. As Greece's flagbearer, he had the honour of being the first athlete to march into the Bird's Nest Stadium during the opening ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Varlam Liparteliani (; born 27 February 1989) is a Georgian judoka. He has won silver at Olympic and World level. Career He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the -90 kg event and lost in the second round to Mark Anthony. At the European Judo Championships, Liparteliani won gold in 2012, 2014 and 2016, silver in 2009 European Judo Championships, 2010 European Judo Championships, 2013 European Judo Championships and 2015 European Judo Championships, and bronze in 2011 European Judo Championships. He is the captain of the Georgia Judo National Team and the Georgia Olympic Team. He is coached by Gugava Giorgi. At the 2016 Olympic Games, he won the silver medal. Dirk Van Tichelt (born 10 June 1984) is a Belgian judoka. His biggest achievement was his European title in Lisbon. In the same year, at the Beijing Olympics he came fifth after losing in the first round to gold-medallist Elnur Mammadli and later losing in the bronze medal match to Rasul Boqiev. At the 2009 World Championships, he reached the semi-finals but there he lost to Kim Chol-Su. In the bronze medal match he beat Sezer Huysuz to take his first bronze medal at a world championships. At the 2013 World Championships, he again won bronze, losing to eventual champion Shohei Ono in the semi-final and beating Dastan Ykybayev in his bronze medal match.
