Jezzine District
The Jezzine District ( ar, قضاء جزين) is a district in the South Governorate of Lebanon. The capital is Jezzine. 76% of registered voters (59642) in the district are Christians. Of those, 60% are Maronite, 14% Greek Melkite Catholic, and the rest are minorities (Armenian Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelic, Protestants, etc...). Governorates Of Lebanon
Lebanon is divided into nine governorates (''muhafazah''). Each governorate is headed by a governor (''muhafiz''): All of the governorates except for Beirut and Akkar are divided into districts, which are further subdivided into municipalities. The newest governorate is Keserwan-Jbeil, which was gazetted on 7 September 2017 but whose first governor, Pauline Deeb, was not appointed until 2020. Implementation of the next most recently created governorates, Akkar and Baalbek-Hermel, also remains ongoing since the appointment of their first governors in 2014. South Governorate
South Governorate ( ar, الجنوب; transliterated: al-Janub) is one of the governorates of Lebanon. South Lebanon has a population of 500,000 inhabitants and an area of 929.6 km2. The capital is Sidon. The lowest elevation is sea-level; the highest is 1,000 meters. The local population is religiously diverse and includes Shia and Sunni Muslims, Druze, Eastern Orthodox, Maronite, Protestant, and Greek Catholic Christians. Temperatures can drop to 4 °C during winter with much rain and snow on the higher ground. In the humid summer, temperatures can rise to 30 °C in the coastal areas. Jezzine
Jezzine ( ''Jizzīn'') is a town in Lebanon, located from Sidon and south of Beirut. It is the capital of Jezzine District. Surrounded by mountain peaks, pine forests (like the Bkassine Pine Forest), and at an average altitude of 950 m (3,117 ft), it is the main summer resort and tourist destination of South Lebanon. Eastern European Time

Eastern European Summer Time
Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. It is used as a summer daylight saving time in some European and Middle Eastern countries, which makes it the same as Arabia Standard Time, East Africa Time, and Moscow Time. Kfarhouna, ( ar, كفر حونة), also known as Kfar Houneh or Kfar Houné, is a town in the Jezzine District of the South Governorate, of Lebanon. Its incumbent mayor is Sami Issa. Aishiya
Aaichiyeh ( ar, عيشية ) is a village in Jezzine District in Southern Lebanon. It is located 82 kilometers far from Beirut and on altitude of 750 meters, and is accessible by the roads of Nabatieh-Jezzine and Marjayoun-Jezzine. Its population is approximately 4000 people as of 2008. Etymology The name "aïchiye" (''العيشية )'' goes back to the word "live", which is the symbol of comfortable living and the surrounding pine trees and nature. Religious sites There are 2 churches in Aïchiye: Mar Antonios (مار انطونيوس) Church, and the Church of the Lady (السيدة العذراء).
