IWRG Ruleta De La Muerte
In ''Lucha libre'', the Mexican version of professional wrestling, the Ruleta de la Muerte ("Roulette of Death") is a type of professional wrestling tournament where the loser or losers of a match would advance in the tournament instead of the winners. The finals of a ''Ruleta de la Muerte'' tournament featured the losing teams wrestle each other under ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or "bet match" rules, where the loser would be forced to either unmask or have all their hair shaved off as a result. Various Mexican promotions have held ''Ruleta de la Muerte'' tournaments; some like International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG - sometimes referred to as ''Grupo Internacional Revolución'' in Mexico) have held these tournaments on a regular basis. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Tag team wrestling is especially prevalent in lucha libre, particularly matches with three-member teams, called ''trios''. The Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG; Sometimes referred to as ''Grupo Internacional Revolución'' in Mexico) produced and scripted a Ruleta de la Muerte (Spanish for "Roulette of Death") tournament on November 5, 2009. The show took place in Arena Naucalpan, in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico, IWRG's main venue and the site of the majority of all their major shows and tournaments. The ''lucha libre'' concept of a Ruleta de la Muerte tournament sees tag teams battle it out, with the losing team in the match advancing in the tournament. The team to lose the last tag team match will then be forced to wrestle each other under '' Lucha de Apuestas'', or "bet match" rules, in this case putting their hair on the line. The Arena Naucalpan 29th Anniversary Show was a major annual professional wrestling event produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on December 21, 2006, in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. As the name implies the show celebrated the 29th Anniversary of the construction of Arena Naucalpan, IWRG's main venue in 1977. The show is IWRG's longest-running show, predating IWRG being founded in 1996 and is the fourth oldest, still held, annual show in professional wrestling. The focal point of the show was a 12-man ''Ruleta de la Muerte'' ("Roulette of Death") tournament, consisting of two six-man matches where the loser would be forced to defend his hair or mask in the finals. Judo Suwa
, better known simply as Suwa (stylized in all capital letters), is a retired Japanese professional wrestler. He originally retired from professional wrestling in 2007, but later returned for a short period of time in 2013 as Maybach Taniguchi Jr before a cervical spine injury forced him to retire once again. Professional wrestling career Toryumon and Dragon Gate Suwa, one of Último Dragón's first trainees, made his professional wrestling debut on the first card of Dragon's Toryumon promotion on May 11, 1997. He went on to become one of the founding fathers of the Crazy Max faction along with Cima, Taru, and Don Fujii, being portraited as a cocky and aggressive villain. José Luis Jair Soria (born September 12, 1971) is a Mexican ''luchador'' or professional wrestler, who works under the ring name Shocker. Joel Bernal Galicia (born December 6, 1965) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler retired, better known under the ring name Olímpico. Olímpico is sometimes Anglicised as "Olympico", and means "Olympian" in Spanish. From his debut in 1992 until late 2008 Olímpico worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL); since then he has worked for promotions including Perros del Mal, International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), World Wrestling Association (WWA) and other promotions on the Mexican independent circuit before returning to CMLL in mid-2010 as part of ''Los Invasores''. ''Ruleta de la Muerte'' (1999) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) that took place on July 18, 1999 in Palacio de los Deportes, Mexico City, Mexico. The show featured the ''Ruleta de la Muerte''¨(Spanish for "Roulette of Death") tournament, in which tag teams face off in a single elimination tournament, but unlike traditional tournaments it is the losing team that advances in the tournament. Jorge Ernesto Guzmán Rodríguez (born August 2, 1963) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler and political activist, best known under the ring name, El Hijo del Santo ("The Son of the Saint"). Guzmán is the youngest child, out of eleven, of Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta, better known as El Santo, a professional wrestler, film actor, and Mexican folk hero.
