IWRG La Gran Cruzada
The La Gran Cruzada (Spanish for "The Great Crusade") is a semi-regular List of major IWRG shows, major professional wrestling show produced and scripted by the Mexican ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion, promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG; Sometimes referred to as ''Grupo Internacional Revolución'' in Mexico) starting in 2011. ''La Gran Cruzada'' refers both to the overall event and to the main event tournament, a 30-man tournament to determine the number one contender for the IWRG Rey del Ring, IWRG ''Rey del Ring'' Championship. The event was first held in the fall of 2011, months after IWRG introduced the actual IWRG ''Rey del Ring'' Championship as the award for the annual ''Rey del Ring'' ("King of the Ring") tournament winner. List Of Major IWRG Shows
The Mexican ''Lucha libre'', or professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) has produced and scripted a number of wrestling shows since their creation on January 1, 1996 by promoter Adolfo "Pirata" Moreno. Some of these shows have become annual events, some are special one-off events, normally indicated by a special main event match or being promoted under a special name, and some are IWRG's normally scheduled Wednesday or Sunday shows. Many of the annual and special events are headlined by a ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or "bet match", where a wrestler will put his wrestling mask or hair on the line. The longest-running recurring IWRG show is the Arena Naucalpan Anniversary Show, which started in 1978, making it the second longest-running professional wrestling recurring show series, only surpassed by the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Anniversary Shows that began in 1934. In professional wrestling, a battle royal (sometimes battle royale; plural battles royal or battle royals) is a multi-competitor Professional wrestling match types, match type in which wrestlers are eliminated until one is left and declared the winner. Golden Magic (born July 18, 1990) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotions Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he is a former AAA World Trios Champion. Esteban Mares Castañeda (born September 3, 1952) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Black Terry. Wrestling since 1973, he was once part of a group called ''Los Temerarios'' alongside Jose Luis Feliciano and Shu El Guerrero. Mini-Estrellas
The term ''Mini-Estrella'' (Spanish for "Mini-Star") is used in lucha libre to describe a division of short professional wrestlers or ''luchadors'', some of whom have dwarfism. The Mexican ''Mini-Estrellas'' is comparable to Midget wrestling practiced around the world, but with the notable exception that some of the ''Mini-Estrellas'' do not have dwarfism but are simply short. Some ''Mini-Estrellas'' have later on moved on to work as regular sized competitors. Pedro Ortiz Villanueva (born July 29, 1962) is a Mexican professional wrestler, or luchador, and wrestling trainer who is best known under the ring name Pirata Morgan. IWRG Intercontinental Middleweight Championship
The IWRG Intercontinental Middleweight Championship (''Campeonato Intercontinental de Peso Medio IWRGL'' in Spanish) is a professional wrestling championship promoted by the Mexican wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The official definition of the Middleweight weight class in Mexico is between and , but the weight limits are not always strictly adhered to. Because Lucha Libre puts more emphasis on the lower weightclasses, this division is considered more important than the normally more prestigious heavyweight division of the promotion. The current champion is Tonalli who defeated Dr. Cerebro for the title on May 29, 2022. Tonalli is the 43st overall champion and the 29th person to have held the championship.
