ITV Weather
ITV Weather is the national and regional forecast shown on UK terrestrial network ITV, and is provided by the Met Office (except the Channel Islands forecast, which is provided by the Jersey Meteorological Department). Bulletins are usually broadcast after every ITV News and ITV regional bulletin; since March 2022, however, ITV Weather runs as a segment of the '' ITV Evening News'', live from the news studio on weekdays. Emma Jesson is the longest serving forecaster after 30 years with ITV Weather. National weather The national bulletin launched on the ITV network on 13 February 1989, airing after ITN bulletins which compliments the previous regional arrangements whereby the separate ITV regional licence holders were responsible for providing weather forecasts themselves only for their regional franchise areas. MediaCityUK is a mixed-use property development on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in City of Salford, Salford, Greater Manchester, England. The project was developed by The Peel Group, Peel Media; its principal tenants are Mass media, media organisations and the Quayside MediaCityUK shopping centre. The land occupied by the development was part of the Port of Manchester and Manchester docks. The BBC signalled its intention to move jobs to Manchester in 2004, and the Salford Quays site was chosen in 2006. ''ITV News Lookaround'' is the name of a British television news service produced by ITV Tyne Tees & Border and broadcasting to the ITV Border region. Overview ''Lookaround'' is produced and broadcast from studios at The Watermark, Gateshead with reporters also based at offices in Carlisle and Edinburgh. Both regional services (i.e '' ITV News Tyne Tees'' and ''Lookaround'') utilise exactly the same presenter(s) and studio/set, therefore one of the two programmes - depending on the day's news - is pre-recorded 'as live' shortly before broadcast. ''ITV News Granada Reports'' is a British television regional news service, produced by ITV Granada and serving the North West of England. Overview ''Granada Reports'' is produced and broadcast from studios in the Orange Tower at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays. Before this, the news service was based at Granada's Quay Street studios in Manchester city centre. Reporters are also based at newsrooms in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, Lancaster and on the Isle of Man. News staff were also based at district offices in Blackburn and Chester, until they were closed in 2005. Overview The news service transmits to Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, northwestern Norfolk and parts of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas of England.
