Huabiao Awards
China Huabiao Film Awards (), also simply known as Huabiao Awards, is an annual awards ceremony for Chinese cinema. Named after the decorative Chinese winged columns (''huabiaos''), The Huabiao Awards were first instituted in 1957 as the Ministry of Culture Excellence Film awards. Between 1958 and 1979, no awards were given. In 1994, the awards were renamed "Huabiao." The ceremony is held in Beijing, and is the highest government honor in film industry. Along with Golden Rooster Awards, Hundred Flowers Awards, these are known as China's three main film awards. Unlike other award ceremonies, Huabiao Awards for individual categories are often given to multiple nominees. Gao Ming
Gao Ming (; 13051370), also known as Kao Ming, Gao Zecheng, and the Cabbage Root Taoist, was a Chinese poet and playwright during the Yuan Dynasty. Gao was born and grew up in Wenzhou. In 1345, needing to find a way to support his widowed mother, he sat and passed the Imperial Examinations and was given a post in Zhejiang (Chouzhou) as a minor district official. In this capacity he served under the writer Su Tianjue, and helped edit some of Su's work. From 1348 to 1351, Gao was involved in suppressing the Red Turban Rebellion, taking military action against the early Han rebel Fang Guozhen. After Fang's defeat, Gao was given a post as assessor of Shaoxing. Fang later attempted to employ Gao as a teacher, an offer which Gao politely declined. Dissatisfied with the civil service, he retired in 1356 and moved to Ningbo (Yinxian) to write for the theatre, focussing on the '' nanxi'' genre. Tang Guoqiang
Tang Guoqiang (born 4 May 1952) is a Chinese actor best known for portraying historical figures in several films and television series. Some of his more notable roles include: various Chinese emperors (e.g. Emperor Taizong of Tang, Yongle Emperor, Yongzheng Emperor), Zhuge Liang, Yan Zhenqing and Mao Zedong. Tang started his acting career when he first joined a performance troupe in 1970 after graduating from middle school. He made his film debut in 1975 as the male lead in ''Storm over the South China Sea''. He is also a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Society. Yang Guangyuan () (died January 21, 945''Zizhi Tongjian'', vol. 284. Academia Sinicabr>Chinese-Western Calendar Converter), né Atan (), later known as Yang Tang () before changing his name to Guangyuan, courtesy name Deming (), formally the Prince of Qi (), was a general of the Chinese Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period state Later Tang (and Later Tang's predecessor state Jin) and Later Jin. He rebelled against Later Jin in 944, believing that he would prevail with aid from the Khitan Liao Dynasty, but after the Liao aid forces were repelled by Later Jin forces, his son Yang Chengxun () put him under arrest and surrendered. Liu Peiqi
Liu Peiqi (; born 30 November 1957) is a Chinese actor. He started his training in 1979 when he joined Military Art School. He joined Military Drama Group in Xinjiang Province in 1983. In 1985 he starred in his first movie, ''Father and Son'', directed by Wang Bingling. After transferring to Beijing Military Drama Group, then the China National Drama Group, Liu starred in '' Days Without Leifeng'', directed by Lei Xianhe. Feng Xiaoning () (born 1954) is a Chinese film director, screenwriter and cinematographer. He is considered a member of the "Fifth Generation" Chinese directors who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1982. Feng however graduated from the Art Direction class.
