History Of Kryvyi Rih
Kryvyi Rih ( uk, Криви́й Ріг , lit. "Curved Bend" or "Crooked Horn"), also known as Krivoy Rog ( Russian: Кривой Рог) is the largest city in central Ukraine, the 7th most populous city in Ukraine and the 2nd largest by area. Kryvyi Rih is also claimed to be the longest city in Europe. The city's population is estimated at . It hosts the administration of the Kryvyi Rih District and its subordinate Kryvyi Rih urban community. The city is also part of the Kryvyi Rih Metropolitan Region. Raions Of Ukraine
Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. On 17 July 2020, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) approved an administrative reform to merge most of the 490 raions, along with the "cities of regional significance", which were previously outside the raions, into just 136 reformed raions. City of regional significance ( uk, місто обласного значення, ''misto oblasnoho znachennia'') in Ukraine was a type of second-level administrative division or municipality, the other type being raions (districts). In the first-level division of oblasts, they were referred to as ''cities of oblast significance''; in the first-level autonomous republic of Crimea, they were ''cities of republican significance''. The designation was created with the introduction of oblasts in 1932. It was abolished in a 2020 reform that merged raions together and integrated the city municipalities into them. Terny District (Raion)
Terny ( uk, Терни) is a village in Ukraine in the Lubny Raion (district) of Poltava Oblast. In 2001, there were 471 inhabitants. It is situated on the right bank of the river Sula. History In the 17th century Jeremi Wiśniowiecki gave the village to Lubny Bernardine Monastery. Catholic monks founded in Terny the garden on 12 dessiatins. In 1657, after the destroying of Bernardine monastery in Lubny, the village was given to Mhar Monastery by Bohdan Khmelnitsky. 1721 Peter the Great founded in Terny and Lubny two "pharmacy gardens" on the area of 50 dessiatins. 1781 - the village was without church, with 30 huts, there were 134 inhabitants in 1787. 1880 - upon request of the Department of Agriculture Kateryna Skarzhynska donated 30 dessiatins of land in the village Terny for the foundation of the agricultural school. Yekaterinoslav Governorate
The Yekaterinoslav Governorate (russian: Екатеринославская губерния, Yekaterinoslavskaya guberniya; uk, Катеринославська губернія, translit=Katerynoslavska huberniia) or Government of Yekaterinoslav was a governorate in the Russian Empire.
