Hetman Białystok
Hetman Białystok, formerly Gwardia Bialystok, is a Polish sports club based in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The football section play in the Fifth Division. History Gwardia was organized in 1948 as a Polish Citizens' Militia's (Communist Police) club. The name Gwardia used to be a common name for any Citizens' Militia's sports' club in Poland. Many players were soldiers serving in the Polish Army who were assigned to the units in or near Bialystok City. Gwardia Bialystok was the first team from Bialystok after World War II to advance to the 2nd League, but survived there only one season (1951–1952) before being relegated to the 3rd League. With the fall of the Communist Oligarchy and the cessation of sponsorship, the club was forced to temporarily disappear in 1990. The club was reactivated soon after when it changed its name from Gwardia to Hetman. The club also added three other sections: amateur boxing, judo, and contract bridge. IV Liga Podlasie
IV liga Podlasie group (grupa podlaska) is one of the groups of IV liga, the 5th level of Polish football league system. The league was created in season 2000/2001 after introducing new administrative division of Poland. Until the end of the 2007/08 season IV liga lay at 4th tier of league system but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top-level league in Poland. The clubs from Podlaskie Voivodeship compete in this group. The winner of the league is promoted to III liga group I. The bottom teams are relegated to the group of Liga okręgowa from Podlaskie Voivodeship. This group is ''Podlasie''. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once). The Cup is popular among lower-level teams, as it gives them a chance to play better known sides. Krzysztof Zimnoch (born 6 September 1983) is a Polish professional heavyweight boxer affiliated to the Hetman Białystok Boxing Club. He holds an amateur win over former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Professional career Zimnoch made his professional boxing debut on 20 February 2010 against Keon Graham at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana. He won by KO in round 1.
