Glu Mobile LLC is an American developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones and tablet computers. Founded in San Francisco, California, in 2004, Glu offers products to multiple platforms including Java ME-based devices, Android, Windows Phone, Google Chrome, and Amazon. Glutamic acid (symbol Glu or E; the ionic form is known as glutamate) is an α-amino acid that is used by almost all living beings in the biosynthesis of proteins. It is a non-essential nutrient for humans, meaning that the human body can synthesize enough for its use. It is also the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate nervous system. God Lives Underwater
God Lives Underwater was an American rock band, formed during 1993 in Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania by vocalist/programmer David Reilly and guitarist/programmer Jeff Turzo. They were later joined by guitarist Andrew McGee and drummer Adam Kary (who was replaced by Scott Garrett in 1998). After recording a self-titled EP in late 1993 and self-distributing it the following year, the band signed to Rick Rubin's label American Recordings, and the EP was nationally released in early 1995. Later that same year, the band released the full-length album ''Empty''. God Lives Underwater then signed with A&M Records and released ''Life in the So-Called Space Age'' in 1998, which spawned their most successful single " From Your Mouth". ''God Lives Underwater'' is the debut EP and first major release by God Lives Underwater. It was recorded in 1993, and self-distributed by the band in 1994, followed by a national release in 1995. "No More Love", the EP's lead single, was also released on the band's second album ''Empty''. The song "Drag Me Down" was featured in the movie ''The Doom Generation'' and "No More Love" was also featured in the movie ''Johnny Mnemonic''. Guyana Labour Union
The Guyana Labour Union is a trade union centre in Guyana, previously known as the British Guiana Labour Union. History The BGLU was founded in 1919, emerging as a labour union amongst black dockworkers. Led by Hubert Critchlow. It soon expanded into a colony-wide labour movement. BGLU was not the first trade union in the Caribbean, but was the first to be legally registered. By 1928 the organization claimed to have 1,073 members, of whom 341 were women. It was linked to the British Labour Party, and affiliated to the International Federation of Trade Unions and the Labour and Socialist International (1924–1940). The OpenGL Utility Library (GLU) is a computer graphics library for OpenGL. It consists of a number of functions that use the base OpenGL library to provide higher-level drawing routines from the more primitive routines that OpenGL provides. It is usually distributed with the base OpenGL package. GLU is not implemented in the embedded version of the OpenGL package, OpenGL ES. Among these features are mapping between screen- and world-coordinates, generation of texture mipmaps, drawing of quadric surfaces, NURBS, tessellation of polygonal primitives, interpretation of OpenGL error codes, an extended range of transformation routines for setting up viewing volumes and simple positioning of the camera, generally in more human-friendly terms than the routines presented by OpenGL.
