Georgetown Hoyas Men's Soccer
The Georgetown Hoyas men's soccer team represents Georgetown University in all men's Division I NCAA soccer competitions. The Georgetown Hoyas joined the new Big East Conference on July 1, 2013, with other private schools from the former Big East Conference in which they previously competed. They won a national championship in 2019, and was the national runner-up in 2012. They have made nine total appearances in the NCAA Men's Division I Soccer Championship, and have won the Big East conference tournament four times and the regular season title seven times. Brian Wiese
Brian Wiese is the head men's soccer coach at Georgetown. He has coached for two seasons at Georgetown. He also served as a top assistant coach at Stanford, and Notre Dame. While an assistant, those squads went a combined 136–48–25, including nine straight tournament appearances. From 1996 to 2001, he served as an assistant coach at Stanford, where the team posted a 71–21–12 record. Eric Kvello
Eric Kvello (born February 12, 1977) is a retired American professional soccer player. Kvello grew up in Houston, Texas, where he played for the Houston Texans Soccer Club. In college, he played for Georgetown Hoyas in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998. In February 1999, the Hershey Wildcats selected Kvello in the second round of the USL A-League. The MetroStars also selected him in the third round of the 1999 MLS College Draft. Kvello signed with the MetroStars where he played two games. He was released midway through the season. He then joined the Hershey Wildcats for the remainder of the 1999 season and the first eleven games of the 2000 season. He then finished the season with the Connecticut Wolves. Joshua Yaro (born 18 November 1994) is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays for St. Louis City SC in Major League Soccer. Cole Seiler (born February 5, 1994) is an American former soccer player. Career College career Seiler played four years of college soccer at Georgetown University between 2012 and 2015, where he helped the Hoyas win a Big East Conference regular season title as well as the Big East Tournament championship. Alex Muyl (born September 30, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Nashville SC in Major League Soccer. Early career Muyl was raised by French immigrant parents in Manhattan, New York and attended Bard High School Early College on the Lower East Side. Brandon Allen (born October 8, 1993) is an American association football, soccer player who currently plays as a Forward (association football), forward. Allen is the younger brother of soccer player R. J. Allen. Tyler Rudy (born September 29, 1993) is an American former professional soccer player who played for the New England Revolution and Puerto Rico FC. Career College and Amateur Rudy played four years of college soccer at Georgetown University between 2011 and 2014. James Nealis (born August 5, 1991) is an American soccer player who most recently played professionally for the New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League. As of October 2023, Nealis plays for New York Pancyprian-Freedoms. Career College and amateur Nealis spent his entire collegiate career at Georgetown University.
