Futsal in Iran is conducted under the auspices of the Futsal Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation. Futsal is a popular and growing sport in the country. Iran has a strong national futsal team, which has won all the editions of Asian Futsal Championship except one. Iran's nationwide '' Futsal Super League'' is considered as the strongest futsal league in Asia and currently Iran's Shensa FSC holds the continent's Futsal Club Championship title. Iran has some of the best futsal players in the continent and also in the world including Vahid Shamsaee, world's top international futsal scorer with over 330 goals scored so far. Futsal teams in Iran partly enjoy their success due to the style of football played outside, '' Gol Koochik'', which means small goal. The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) ( fa, فدراسیون فوتبال جمهوری اسلامی ایران, Federâsion-è Futbâl-è Jomhuri-ye Eslâmi-ye Irân) is the governing body of association football in Iran. AFC Women's Futsal Championship
The AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup, previously the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, is the premier national women's futsal competition of the Asian Football Confederation nations. Iran have won both editions held to date. The first edition was held in Malaysia from 17 to 26 September 2015. The second edition was held in Thailand from 2 to 12 May 2018. The third edition was scheduled to be held in Kuwait in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. AFC Futsal Club Championship
The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current highest Asian futsal club competition, hosted by the Asian Football Confederation. It is futsal equivalent to AFC Champions League. For the inaugural edition, AFC Futsal Committee decided to make it an invitational event, and each member association has been asked to nominate their national league champions for the tournament. History and format A trial edition, named 2006 Asia Futsal Cup, was run in 2006 with six teams participating. Iranian team Shensa Saveh beat Uzbek Ardus FC 5–1 in the final. The first recognised edition by the AFC was held in 2010 and ran with ten teams, forming two groups of five teams. The top two finishers then proceeded to the semi-finals. Since 2015 the final tournament is played with 12 teams. If more national league champions wish to enter a team, all but the top three finishers of the last tournament and the host nation, have to enter a qualification stage. Shahid Mansouri Gharchak FSC
Shahid Mansouri Qarchak Futsal Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتسال شهید منصوری قرچک, ''Bashgah-e Futsal-e Shihid Minsuri Qârcek'') was an Iranian professional Futsal club based in Qarchak. History The club was founded in 1997. After a string of 2nd place finishes in the league, Shahid Mansouri finally won the league for the first time in the 2010-11 season. During the same season in the 2011 AFC Futsal Club Championship they finished second after losing in the final 3-2 to Japanese club Nagoya Oceans. The club repeated as champions n the 2011–12 season.
