Front Line
A front line (alternatively front-line or frontline) in military terminology is the position(s) closest to the area of conflict of an armed force's personnel and equipment, usually referring to land forces. When a front (an intentional or unintentional boundary) between opposing sides forms, the front line is the area where each side's forces are engaged in conflict. Leaders have often fought at the front lines either purposefully or due to a collapse in battle formation. While a calculated risk, fighting on the front has in instances reduced communication and heightened morale. All branches of the United States Armed Forces use the related technical terms, Forward Line of Own Troops (FLOT) and Forward Edge of Battle Area (FEBA). These terms are used as battlespace control measures that designate the forward-most friendly maritime or land forces on the battlefield at a given point in time during an armed conflict. FLOT/FEBA may include covering and screening forces. The Forwar ...

Frontline (The Bill)
"Frontline" was a three-part storyline in the long-running police procedural British television series ''The Bill''. Broadcast in 2008, the storyline is significant in the show's history as it was the final plot to feature the death of an on-screen character, PC Emma Keane, which came in the first part of the plot. Prelude Unlike storylines during the serialized era of 2002-2005, the Frontline plot did not have multiple, long-running plots in the buildup. However, one ongoing storyline was that of the posse run by Sergeant Callum Stone. While Stone was not borderline corrupt, he used certain methods that were not legal. He was seen as a maverick when he arrived, but one of his biggest secrets came weeks after his arrival in the autumn of 2007; Stone was part of a uniform search for a missing girl, Chloe Parks, but it came to a tragic end when she was found dead at the bottom of a fire escape at a disused hospital. Stone let things get personal when footage emerged of the girl se ...

Front Line (song)
"Front Line" is a 1983 release written and produced by American R&B singer and songwriter Stevie Wonder, off his greatest hits compilation '' Stevie Wonder's Original Musiquarium I'' (1982). The song is sung from the perspective of a Vietnam War veteran. The protagonist tells the story of how he volunteered to go to Vietnam in 1964 at age sixteen, (suggesting that he was born in 1948, 35 years before the single came out and a couple of years before Wonder's birth) despite being raised to never kill anyone. After losing his leg, he is sent home with a Purple Heart. In the present day, his niece is a prostitute, and his nephew is a drug addict, both of whom insist he has no right to tell them they are wrong in their ways. He reads in the newspaper that another war is on its way, and he remembers the 'many happy families that have been ruined.' Personnel *Stevie Wonder: vocals, keyboards, drums *Benjamin Bridges: electric guitar *Nathan Watts Nathan or Natan may refer to: People ...

Frontline Records
Frontline Records was a Christian rock record label, founded in 1986 by James Kempner in Santa Ana, California. The label focused primarily on modern rock, rap, dance-pop and hip-hop. The label closed in the early 1990s, and then resurfaced in 2010 to digitally re-release its music catalog (including related labels). Beginnings and history Kempner had a background in concert promotion, and had run the New Year's Eve Christian music festival series at Knott's Berry Farm, growing the event to one of the largest Christian events in the country before forming Frontline. The label officially began by signing local bands from the Orange County, California area. In that first year, Frontline released sixteen albums. In 1986, the company signed a distribution deal with Nashville-based Benson Records to tap into their extensive sales force and distribution through Zondervan Music. Frontline Records soon transitioned to Frontline Music Group (FMG), allowing the company to create diff ...
