A total of 16 teams are scheduled to compete in the men's football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In addition to the host nation France, 15 men's national under-23 teams qualified or will qualify from the tournaments of the six continental confederations. Table On 24 February 2022, the FIFA Council approved the slot allocation for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The host nation France, earns automatic qualification to the tournament. Football At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The association football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from 24 July to 10 August 2024 in France. In addition to the Olympic host city of Paris, matches will also be played in Bordeaux, Décines-Charpieu, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Saint-Étienne. Associations affiliated with FIFA may send teams to participate in the tournament. Men's teams are restricted to under-23 players (born on or after 1 January 2001) with a maximum of three overage players allowed, while there are no age restrictions on women's teams. 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-21 Euro 2023) will be the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship (27th edition if the Under-23 era is also included), the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams will play in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 are eligible to participate. The tournament will be co-hosted by Romania and Georgia. Romania will host the opening match, while Georgia will host the final. Romania already hosted the 1998 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The England national under-21 football team, also known as England under-21s or England U21(s), is considered to be the feeder team for the England national football team. This team is for England players aged under 21 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year European Under-21 Football Championship campaign begins, so some players can remain with the squad until the age of 23. The 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup will be the 6th edition of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup (previously the AFC U-23 Championship before rebranding from 2021), the biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. The 2022 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship will be the 7th edition of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship (28th edition if all eras included), the men's under-20 international football tournament organized by CONCACAF. It will be hosted in Honduras, in the cities of San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa.
