Fehérvár FC
Fehérvár Football Club (commonly known as ''Fehérvár'', ''Vidi'', or ''MOL Fehérvár Football Club'' for sponsorship reasons), is a Hungarian professional football club based in Székesfehérvár, which plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level of the Hungarian league system. Due to sponsorship reasons, the club changed its name from Videoton FC to MOL Vidi FC in 2018, the main sponsor of the club being oil and gas multinational company MOL. In 2019, the club changed its name once again to MOL Fehérvár FC. Fehérvár has won the Nemzeti Bajnokság I three times, in 2011, 2015, and 2018. They have also won the Magyar Kupa twice: in 2006, after defeating Vasas on penalties in the final, and in 2019, after defeating Budapest Honvéd FC. They won the defunct Hungarian League Cup three times in 2008, 2009, and 2012 and the also defunct Hungarian Super Cup two times in 2011 and 2012. MOL Aréna Sóstó
MOL Aréna Sóstó (''MOL Aréna Salt Lake'') is a multi-purpose stadium in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, primarily used for football matches. History Planning On 12 November 2014, the design of the new stadium was revealed at press conference held by László Vigh and András Cser-Palkovics, mayor of Székesfehérvár. Three new stands are going to be built. The main stand is going to be renewed. The reconstruction is going to start in autumn 2015. The expected finish of the construction is going to be the end of 2016. During the 2015-16 season the club are going to play their matches at the Pancho Arena in Felcsút, Fejér County. On 18 September 2015, it was announced that the demolition of the current stadium is going to be in January 2016. On 10 December 2015, András Cser-Palkovics said that a totally new multi-use stadium will be built creating the Vidi-city. Felcsút
Felcsút is a village in Fejér county, Hungary. History The village was first mentioned in 1269 where its name was originated from the personal name "Csút". ("fel-" felső"means "upper" in Hungarian.) In the Middle Ages the owners were crusaders from Székesfehérvár and in the 15th century became property of the Pálos rend. Owners and inhabitants were often changed between the 16th century and 19th century. The Roman Catholic church was built in classicist style between 1828 and 1840, and the Reformed church was finished by 1895. A big change was the building of the railway which connected the village to the rest of the country, which was discontinued since. Pancho Aréna
Pancho Aréna is a stadium in Felcsút, Hungary. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Puskás Akadémia FC. Between 2015 and 2018, the stadium was the home also for the three-time champions Fehérvár FC due to the reconstruction of Sóstói Stadion. History The stadium was opened on 21 April 2014 with the final of the 2014 Puskás Cup. On 26 April 2014, the first Hungarian League match was played at the stadium between Puskás Akadémia FC, Puskás Akadémia and Videoton FC, Videoton. The match ended with 3–1 away win. 1985 UEFA Cup Final
The 1985 UEFA Cup Final was a football tie played on 8 May and 22 May 1985 between Real Madrid of Spain and Videoton of Hungary. Real Madrid won 3–1 on aggregate. Real would later make this a cup-double, by winning the Copa de la Liga on 15 June after another two-legged final, against their cross-town rivals Atlético Madrid. Real Madrid's win was the club's first European silverware in nearly two decades (their last major European honour had been the 1965–66 European Cup).
