Federated States Of Micronesia National Football Team
The Federated States of Micronesia national football team is the national team of the Federated States of Micronesia and is controlled by the Federated States of Micronesia Football Association. The team is not a member of FIFA, or a regional confederation, and therefore cannot compete in the World Cup. Overview The team has only played a handful of matches, the last in 2003. In 2015, the under-23 team suffered a series of heavy defeats at the Pacific Games, the presence of a side at the tournament was intended to be the first step towards having a more permanent national team with FIFA recognition. 1999 Micronesian Cup In 1999, Yap hosted the Micronesian Cup. This was a three-team tournament consisting of the Northern Mariana Islands, Micronesia and an international team known as the Crusaders (or Crushers according to other sources). Football At The 2015 Pacific Games – Men's Tournament
The 2015 Pacific Games men's football tournament was the 14th edition of the Pacific Games men's football tournament. The men's football tournament was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea between 3–17 July 2015 as part of the 2015 Pacific Games. The tournament was age-restricted and open to men's under-23 national teams only. The tournament also doubled as the 7th edition of the OFC Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the quadrennial international tournament organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from Oceania qualify for the Olympic football tournament. A separate qualifying tournament was initially set to take place at Tonga between 2–12 December 2015. However, it was later decided to absorb the qualifying tournament into the Pacific Games, as the New Zealand team participated for the first time in the Pacific Games men's football tournament. Football At The 2019 Pacific Games
Football at the 2019 Pacific Games was held on 8–20 July in Apia in Samoa. In the men's football tournament, the gold medal was won by New Zealand's under-23 team. The women's tournament was won by Papua New Guinea, the country's fifth successive gold medal in women's football – Papua New Guinea have won every edition of the event since it began at the Pacific Games in 2003. The silver medal was the first ever honour for the Samoa women's national football team. Lautoka () is the second largest Local government in Fiji, city in Fiji. It is on the west coast of the island of Viti Levu, in the Ba Province of the Western Division, Fiji, Western Division. Lying in the heart of Fiji's sugar cane-growing region, the city has come to be known as the Sugar City. Covering an area of 32 square kilometres, it had a population of 71,573 at the 2017 census, the most recent to date. Churchill Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Lautoka, Fiji. It is currently used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Lautoka F.C. Nausori
Nausori () is a town in Fiji. It had a population of 57,866 at the 2017 census. This makes it the fourth most populous municipality in the country. Situated 19 kilometers outside of Suva, it forms one pole of the burgeoning Suva-Nausori corridor. Nausori is home to three provinces Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri. The Rewa Bridge across the Rewa River, built by Fletcher Construction and opened in 2006, links Nausori to the capital, Suva. Economy There are two major business areas in Nausori - the town of Nausori proper, and Nakasi. A new market and bus terminal were opened in 2015, allowing for the town's future development.
