FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2013
The 2013 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships were held at Voss, Norway from March 5–10, 2013. Voss was acclaimed as the host in May 2008 as no other bids were received. Skiers competed in six disciplines: Moguls, Dual Moguls, Ski Cross, Slopestyle, Half Pipe and Aerials. These were the first FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships held in Norway. FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships
The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships is the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. It was first organized in 1986 and is now held every odd year. Currently, the events included in the world championships are Moguls, Dual Moguls, Aerials, Ski cross, Slopestyle and Half-pipe. Formerly, Acroski and a combined event were held. John Teller
John Teller (born March 9, 1983) is an American freeskiing, freestyle skier who specializes in ski cross. He won the Skier X event at Winter X Games XV, upsetting favorite Chris Del Bosco. Teller began his career in Alpine skiing, alpine, but has made the transition to ski cross, supporting his endeavor by working as an auto mechanic. Grete Eliassen
Grete Eliassen (born September 21, 1986 in Lutsen, Minnesota) is an American-Norwegian freestyle skier. She won a bronze medal in ''Slopestyle'' at the 2011 Winter X Games XV in Aspen, Colorado, behind Kaya Turski and Keri Herman. She has won 6 medals at the Winter X Games in slopestyle and halfpipe events including back to back gold medals in 2005 and 2006. Eliassen serves as the 16th president of the Women's Sports Foundation, effective January 2017. Early life Eliassen was born in Lutsen, Minnesota to a Norwegian father and American mother. She started skiing at the young age of two. She grew up near some of the finest mountains in North America. She moved to Norway for a year when she was five. Dara Howell
Dara Howell (born August 23, 1994) is a Canadian freestyle skier. She was the first freestyle skier to win a gold medal in ski slopestyle at the inaugural event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Howell has also won a bronze medal in women's slopestyle at the Winter X Games XVII in Aspen, Colorado, behind Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen and Kaya Turski. Career Dara first competed at the Winter X Games in Aspen 2012, and was the youngest female competitor. She followed this with a Bronze Medal in the 2012 Winter X Games in Tignes. As of 2019, Dara has won 4 medals at the Winter X Games. At the 2014 Winter Olympics Howell started competition as a gold medal threat together with compatriot Kaya Turski. Kaya Turski (born May 3, 1988) is a Canadian freestyle skier. She is an eight-time Winter X Games champion in Women's Ski slope style. At the 2010 Winter X Games XIV held in Aspen, she won her gold medal with the highest ever slopestyle score at a Winter X Games with 96.66. Danielle Scott (born 7 March 1990) is an Australian freestyle skier specialising in Aerial Skiing. Scott represented Australia at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Chloé Dufour-Lapointe
Chloé Dufour-Lapointe (born 2 December 1991) is a Canadian freestyle skier. She was the 2013 FIS World Champion in dual moguls with her winning run at the 2013 World Championships. Dufour-Lapointe was the runner-up and silver medallist at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011 as well and placed fifth at the 2010 Olympic Games. She won silver at the 2014 Olympic Games behind her sister Justine.
