Fodbold Club Fredericia af 1991 (, simply known as FC Fredericia), is a professional association football club based in the town of Fredericia, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1991 as a merger between Fredericia fF and Fredericia KFUM, it is affiliated to DBU Jutland. The team plays its home matches at Fredericia Stadium, named ''Monjasa Park'' for sponsorship reasons, where it has been based since 2006. In 2002, Fredericia fF pulled out of the merger, which means that FC Fredericia today continues to be the professional branch of Fredericia KFUM. Away Goals Rule
The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaker, tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals "Road (sports), away from home" wins. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total. Thomas Thomasberg
Thomas Thomasberg (born 15 October 1974) is a Danish professional football manager and former player, who is the current head coach of Danish Superliga club Randers FC. Playing career As a youth player, Thomasberg played for hometown club Haverslev IF as well as Aars IK, before joining AaB in 1991. He made his debut for the first team only in 1994, after having played for the reserves in the fourth-tier Denmark Series for a number of seasons. Thomasberg played for AaB until 1999, after which he moved to FC Midtjylland. He won the Danish Superliga championship as a player with AaB in both the 1994–95 and 1998–99 seasons. 2012–13 Danish 1st Division
The 2012–13 Danish 1st Division season was the 17th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. This was the first season with a twelve-club First Division. The divisional champions and runners-up are promoted to the 2013–14 Danish Superliga. The teams in the 11th and 12th places are relegated to the 2013–14 Danish 2nd Divisions. Participants Lyngby Boldklub and HB Køge finished the 2011–12 season of the Superliga in 11th and 12th place, respectively, and were relegated to the 1st Division. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. The 2009–10 Danish 1st Division season was the 14th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion, AC Horsens, and runners-up, Lyngby BK, were promoted to the 2010–11 Danish Superliga. Goal Difference
Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). Goal difference is calculated as the number of goals scored in all league matches minus the number of goals conceded, and is sometimes known simply as plus–minus.
